Coming coming up on a three year anniversary of experiencing a stroke event, and the subsequent therapies they go with the recovery, I have met very many talented, dedicated people along my path. Ivy Rose stands well above all these other people in her knowledge, sharing, abilities, and communication to set my expectations properly for what I am experiencing in the past and now. I have seen more progress in the past seven months with her than the previous two years with others. I've been in a wheelchair for 26 years and, over that time, worked with my fair share of OTs. Until I started working with Independent Living Therapy Services and Ivyrose, I'd been pretty set in my ways (when it came to living life as a wheelchair user) and saw no need in working with another OT again, outside of the occasional seating evaluation for a new wheelchair; I was wrong. Working with Ivyrose has vastly improved my quality of life and helped me gain even more independence than what I believed possible.

I really love working with Ivyrose! For many years now, I have been dealing with some health issues. Nobody on my team was able to find me the right help. Once Ivyrose heard about this issue, two days later, she had found me a pelvic therapist. Ivyrose has gone to a few of these pelvic therapy sessions with me. Due to this, it was also discovered the way my old seat was made was causing me the health issues I have been having. The Seating Clinic is making a new seat. Ivyrose has gone to every appointment with me. Ivyrose was put on my team when Blue Cross Blue Shield denied getting the elevation part of my new power wheelchair. When Ivyrose started working with me, she started working on the application process for the elevation part, and that is how I got it.
