Tropical Smoothie Cafe

Walked in on a Saturday about 8:10 pm. They close at 9:00 pm. I asked if they were still serving and one of the two young guys made a negative comment about how he wished they were already closed. Then when we tried to order he said they were no longer making food for the evening. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen. I like this place but I don't see them getting much business even though the two fast food places next door are always packed. It's just a matter of time until they go under which means stay away because, as a result of the service problems and slow business, you'll probably be served something that makes you sick. MY RESPONSE TO THE OWNER'S COMMENT: After I wrote the review above, I immediately went to the website and gave you the details as well as a copy of what I wrote here. I also included my contact information. Your response here is nothing but an attempt to make it look like you really care about the customer when the truth is your business is failing because you are not managing it well. Note that I am not the only one complaining about the confusion about how late you are open. When I first started eating at your place last fall, your hours said you were only open until 8:00 pm. I did not go several times because I thought you were closed. Later I learned you were actually open until 9:00 pm. Now, people are complaining about showing up between 8 pm and 9 pm and being told there is no food service. Like I said, the two fast food businesses right next to you are packed every time I've been to Tropical Smoothie, yet your place is dead. That you cannot siphon off some of this business is an obvious sign of mismanagement.

Horrible experience. Walked in at 7pm, wanted to order a flatbread with a smoothie but Ciarra and her coworker at the time denied food. I asked what was the reason, and they said because they close at 8pm when in reality google shows 9pm. No one was in the restaurant other than my sister and I, and the other worker said it was because they were short staffed. When walking out we saw a male employee walk in. How many people does it take to make ONE sandwich?! I understand most places in these times are short staffed, but these girls had no one in store.

We have tried most of their sandwiches and liked them all. A great place for a light meal.

Tasty smoothies with less sugar than typical smoothie joints. Also great healthier food options with healthy portions. Great for a quick midday feeling lunch. Highly recommend.
