If I could give zero stars, I would. Unfortunately I wasn't able to experience their techs, I'm sure their tradesmen are great. But the woman I spoke with who answers the phone was beyond rude, claimed to be "the owner" and definitely spoke like someone who favors themselves "important". Used profanity and literally said "I am the owner and this is 7D Mechanical"... Super professional... Based on this one interaction, I'll never recommend this company.

Dont know how you all have an average of 4 stars, but here we go. You cannot get 7-D on the phone. While were talking evidence, Ive got the phone logs of every time weve called the office and gotten nothing. Our heater broke in February. It is August and it was just completed. Before 7-D inevitably comes into the comments and says, But PNM! Sure PNM was partially to blame for two of the appointments falling through. Okay, but that work was scheduled all the way for June. What about April and May? I have never heard of a contracting job on a house taking five (almost six) months. We were out of town when he came in to do work on the 15th/16th. Our last correspondence with him was Friday. Monday morning were met with a threaten for legal action and lien on the house. Oh, he was courteous to leave a voicemail about that. Cant answer the phone though, except for of course when he needs to get paid. I had never spoken to Cliff on the phone before, only listened, but I greeted him and asked him about getting the current topic in writing and was immediately hit with the I need to get paid! spiel. Not politely either, just that gruff professional annoyance. We waited five months for you to complete your service. I think you could have gone to wait a day or two and provided courteous notice before threatening legal action. You like to mention all of the audio recordings you have. Show me where I disrespected you and deserved that treatment over the phone? Paid on completion was agreed. I get it. You have to get paid. Sure. You have to eat too. But you dont retain customers by treating them this way. I can admit our faults if you can admit yours. But I guess you dont have to since youre ready to go the legal route with every customer. Five months to get an HVAC system in with cold ABQ nights. Consider waiting half a year for your service before you go with 7-D. I guess he has favorites and prioritizes other customers because Im glad everyone else in reviews here has gotten speedy service. Never had a contracting experience like this. Ever. First American Home Warranty is partially to blame, especially since terms and the contract itself arent readily available to us (but that customer service is for another review). God knows we tried to get another contractor after three months had passed. Sorry if we were the worst customers you ever had, 7-D, but you were our worst too.

Had 3 companies provide estimates for water softener install and hot water heater replacement. TLC priced $11k+ for hot water heater replacement and $870 for softener install. They sent out a sales rep to put quote together. The rep couldn't answer my questions without having to call a technician. Always had to wait for answers. One company didn't bother showing up at all. (Individual that was too busy.) 7-D Mechanical showed up and offered a much better price than TLC and the quality of work was out of this world. For the estimate, Clifford showed up with one of his technicians and was able to provide answers to questions as they came up. Once we decided to move forward with them, he was extremely responsive and professional. As long as we own a home in ABQ, we will be using 7-D for our plumbing, heating, AC needs.
