Hospice De La Luz

Every staff member I encountered in this company was incredible. I cannot say enough positive comments about Hospice De La Luz. They treated my mother with incredible care and compassion. Medically they took care of her and kept her comfortable in her last months. They took care of the insurance matters for me and let me know of medical equipment she was eligible for. They were even there for me in assuring the pre-arranged funeral plans were decided. The knowledge of the case manager nurse was vast, but more importantly she cared deeply about my mother. My mother was kept clean and as happy as she could be in her last months. She hated showering when the assisted living staff did it, but she was so happy with it when the hospice staff did it. She was also cared for spiritually. I could see how comfortable and calm she was she was sung to and scripture was read to her. For me the services offered were extremely valuable. They walked me through the death process and helped me be attentive to matters I would never have considered without the help of the staff. They kept me informed throughout the process and helped me be prepared for the death of my mother. They even helped me get out of jury duty so I would not miss time with my mother in her final days. They were patient with me and were willing to answer all my questions and concerns. Even when I did not have questions, they would keep me informed. They helped me to be prepared for what was going to happen in the dying process. Even after my mother's death, the staff has continued to be concerned about my wellbeing. They have continued to stay in touch with me to assure my emotional and psychological health is being tended to. Two staff members even attended my mother's memorial service; I know how special that is because no one from the assisted living center, where she lived for six years, attended. Thank you so much to everyone at Hospice De La Luz and I highly recommend anyone in the same situation to use them.

I would like to thank Hospice de la Luz for the wonderful care my husband received during his last months. Dr. Joy Lovette and nurses Jessica and Kim were always attentive, kind and caring and made sure he was comfortable and peaceful. They even had a Veteran's Pinning Ceremony for him since he was retired military. The whole staff was very kind and loving not only to my husband but to me. I Highly Recommend Hospice de la Luz.

My dad was on service with Hospice De la Luz for a short time. However in that short period we were all well supported and it was wonderful to have my dad at home and pass away surrounded by his family. My mom also received wonderful bereavement care following my dads death.

Refused to tell me why my mother was placed on Hospice. My mother's death certificate says she died of Alzheimer's disease but she did not have Alzheimer's disease.

We are very fortunate we found Hospice De La Luz. They not only provided loving care for our mother they provided the same loving care to the family helping us prepare for our mothers passing. Very professional, responsive and knowledgeable. We could not have found a better team.
