This is an ok place to purchase a firearm. You can price shop online and at the in town stores. About 50% of their used firearms are moderately to grossly overpriced so if you're uninformed you have a 50/50 chance of overpaying. As a buyer watch your step and you'll get a fair deal. Now for the bad. If you walk in there with a firearm and are not looking for parts the experience is quite different. I brought in an AR15 that was very lightly used "less than 50 rounds fired." Four employees were in the front area a woman greeted me and I asked about selling my rifle to them. Her demeanor immediately changed to uninterested and acting like I was a cockroach that just scurried under the door. There was not a single other customer in the store. Three other male employees were chatting amongst themselves. I was asked what I wanted for the rifle without them even looking at it. I answered what will you offer for it and one of the men sighed loudly and took my rifle in the back to look at it. As I was handing over the rifle another customer/buddy walked in and everyone began chatting him up like old friends. I was invisible for the next 2 minutes while waiting for the person to finish inspecting my rifle in the back. When done they offered me $200 for an ar15. Less than 1 year prior I spent $1000 in parts putting this rifle together. What stuck in my craw was that $700 of the parts were bought at the very counter they were offering me $200 for the entire rifle. That's only 30% return on the parts they sold me. That does not bode well for Omni arms Albuquerque in any instance. They either sell junk or were ripping me off at that point. They would not budge off the $200 offer and all gave me threatening looks when I asked for clarification. I promptly left and two men followed me out to intimidate me further. I am handicapped with braces on both legs what were they worried about?. Shooters den is way better for parts and knowledge. If you want a full service gun store keep looking. As I experienced today and explained above they are not the place to sell or trade firearms. I bought many of the parts for the rifle in that very store. So the parts that they sell are immediately devalued 70% if resold to them as a complete firearm. Ron Peterson is still in my opinion the most fair place to sell a firearm in town. BMC tactical also gets an honorable mention for selling firearms as well. They have been more than fair with me on multiple occasions. To sum it up 50% of Omnis items are overpriced. Do not try to sell them anything unless you only want a little better than giving it away for free. A full service gun store will at least show you respect when you walk in with a firearm to sell. They were are all smiles when I bought a $1000 pistol there a month ago. Very friendly during that transaction. I understand if you don't want to buy my rifle but when you disrespect me in the process you can bet I will not be back. Update: After treating me horribly in their store the manager/owner now admits to keeping audio and video files of anyone entering their store. So how long does Omni arms in Albuquerque keep all of these audio and video files on would be customers entering their store? As far as I can tell the response that you posted was a while after I posted my review. Even another reason to not shop at omni. No respect for privacy of customers. Update: We all know gun stores have video surveillance and we trust those store owners not to keep those videos after we leave their store. This person supposedly has a video of me proving what he lied about but can't show it on here. Stick to reality sir. You keep audio and video files of your customers months after their business is concluded for you. You grossly overcharge for parts and when it's time to be fair with the deals you are not. If anything else don't shop here if you value your privacy. Cabelas is better than this corporate franchise. This is not a small business but yet another corporate franchise impersonating one.
