    If I could rate this Davita westside a zero I would. This location by far is the worst location. I have been with Davita since it was ABQ health partners back in 2014. I have been to Journal Center and normally go to the one in Rio Rancho. I have never encountered a problem until I went to this location and saw their nurse practitioner Barbara. First off, Barbara initially comes off as nice. But that is truly fake. She will tell you to get off of a medication that you have been on for a decade just because she doesn't like it. Her bedside manner is more like an agitated nurse rather than a caring physician. Second, she isn't knowledgeable on ICD-10 codes. She'll code your office visit incorrectly so your insurance doesn't cover it. Next, the office manager, Dionne (spelling?), is also not helpful whatsoever. I tried to have my issue resolved and was immediately shut down. She is not knowledgeable on ICD codes either. There are 155,000 icd-10 codes and they chose to use the non billable ones for my visit. I received a bill for $201.00 for a 15 min visit with Barbara all because her diagnosis code was not billable. Both Barbara and Dionne refused to correct this. Luckily, I think I have the issue resolved after numerous calls to my insurance company. My insurance company had Barbara listed as a nurse instead of a nurse practitioner. Hence why the claim was denied. They were also able to override the codes based on my several other office visits for the exact issue I saw her. My advice to you is to not be seen at this location. This is not the way you treat patients. You as a patient are paying for proper medical services. Don't settle for less. There are actual doctors within Davita who genuinely care about their patients. But this location and the providers within, are not that.

    Doctors are friendly as well as receptionist, BUT, what good is a doctor if you can,t get your prescription. Been waiting 9 days after contacting pharmacy and personally going to Davida med office 3 times. I think that the medical assts (some) don't have a clue. they say, yes we'll send the request to the doctor and then limbo . what happens. Here I am hurting and out of my medication and they still can' manage to send a fax to the pharmacy. I don't really know who to complain to, so this is my next best next option. Maybe someone in admin will read this.

    Terrible. Due to work I am limited as to when I can come in. I scheduled an appointment a month and a half in advance only to be told they had “accidentally scheduled me incorrectly” and would not be able to do my physical that day. I was told this at check in. Shouldn’t someone have caught this BEFORE I came in? Billing has been a nightmare. I have called 3 separate times to let them know my bill is incorrect because I had paid in office. Both times the woman on the phone said she could see it was incorrect. I asked them to please resend the bill with the correct amount and I will pay my bill. Now today I see I’ve been sent to collections. Isn’t there a record of my phone calls asking them to please correct my bill??? Ugh, never again. Update: Went in to pay my bill. Ladies in the front office are very nice. About the only thing going for this place.
