My partner was in the Sallys on cutler today. He is non binary, and today he was presenting as a female. After spending over $200 at the store, he left the store only to realize he had locked his keys in his car. He went back in the store to call our insurances road side assistance help line because the high temperature was 32 degrees at most; it was freezing out. The employee had the audacity to ask my partner to leave his sally bags with the products he had just purchased at the counter while he made the phone call. As soon as the call was finished, my partner said they will be here in 20 mins to unlock the car. The hateful queen behind the counter, who should be considered family, told my partner to wait outside, in the below freezing weather. I would think that a store who caters to non-binary, trans, gay or any other type of person that society would deem as an other, would be considered A safe space away from condemnation and bigotry for all marginalized people. But I guess Sallys is just another store where their conservative ideology shames anyone who is not considered a cis white female. Shame on you Sally's, And shame on your ice queen manager whose Lack and of empathy and compassion towards a well dressed and well mannered, non-binary person makes me worry how he would treat a homeless person who enters the Sallys on cutler drive in Albuquerque, nm. Shame on you!!!
