The management there is clueless. Very poor understanding of technologies in general. Almost a decade behind when I got there. There is sloppy work by colleagues with a real need for quality. No care for a job done right, to be technically correct, when it can be done. I saw stuff there where there that was clearly laziness. Management is completely blind. If you complain they don't listen. No cooperation from IT department with needs. I ran into resistance frequently. Problem getting satisfactory environment. I worked hard including OT. My position was understaffed by at least 1 person. While I worked, others chatted incessantly & frequently goofed off. I worked above my job description with no recognition. It is not an environment for high performers, especially where you will be valued. It is also not an environment conducive to standard environment for development practices; &they seem to be more interested in getting contracts over making an environment to facilitate development. Favoring contracts over delivery & quality is a frustrating environment & an imbalance. Communication from IT was a big issue. They would roll out some aspect without communicating to people it would impact. You'd come in & your stuff wouldn't work & you'd have figure out what happened. This happened many times.
