Too many problems for how much the rent is. I lived at this complex for 2 years, and while the part of town made these apartments attractive, I had several issues that made me want to write this review. I'm going to start by saying easily the BIGGEST problem with this complex is the absolute lack of parking. If you work a normal 9-5, you are going to be hiking to where ever your apartment is. There is some spots available during the day time, but once people get off work you are going to have to park quite far. I worked at UNMH and on several occasions I would get home at 8am after a 12 hour shift and there was literally no where to park. I paid $1.6k/month for an 800 square foot apartment and had no where to park. The complex will argue that for an upcharge you can get a covered parking spot (probably not by your apartment), or a garage for far too much. Speaking about parking, the complex hires a private car booting/towing company that comes at 4am to boot people parking in covered spots, and for an added bonus they check everyone's registration and will boot you for expired registration. I've gone to work in the morning and seen 5+ cars booted for expired registration, even people who paid for covered parking. The complex stated they do so because it helps deter crime. I'll tell you a good way to deter crime, fixing the gates that were always broken and left open. The side exit gate had been open for MONTH'S before I left. The next biggest issue is the maintenance staff. I'm pretty sure during my stay they fired the entire maintenance staff and hired a whole new crew. (Makes you wonder what was going on) A new crew came in and one of the staff workers told me they had a couple hundred tickets open that they had to work through. I had a major issue with my showers drain, rendering it unsafe to use. I submitted a high importance ticket and after two days I went down to the office to ask for this to be looked into. The front desk worker was very nice and understanding, wrote my name and apartment down and assured me they would get to it as soon as possible. Another 2 days goes by, and I am so frustrated because I DIDNT HAVE A WORKING SHOWER, that I went to Home Depot, got a couple tools and fixed it myself. I left the maintenance ticket open to see how long it would have taken them. They didn't come to my apartment for another 7 days. It would have taken the complex almost 2 weeks to fix my unusable shower, even after going down to the office to complain. And I know this is probably here say, but I made me mad walking by the maintenance workshop and smelling weed smoke on a few occasions. I would not recommend living at Arterra Apartments, not worth it for the price or your sanity.

I requested the shelf in my closet be replaced after an accident. Both the office and maintenance teams worked diligently to coordinate when the best time was to complete the repair and other maintenance concerns my family had. Thank you management and maintenance!

My electontic door stoppped working so no access to my apartment. Work order submitted with no response.. called management and escatated call to... no response. These folks would rather you break a window to enter your own aparentment then fix the door access issue... just crazy and completely unacceptable.

When I first started talking with the apartment office, they told me that parking isnt an issue. This is simply not the case as I have found people competing for parking spaces and my car is now booted. I dont appreciate that the apartment offers covered parking spaces or garages as the solution to this problem.

I have been living here for the past 3 years and this is the first time Ive had a serious issue due to new management. I have a serious leak somewhere in the apartment that causes large puddles of water to seep up from the flooring every time I flush the toilet. After calling emergency maintenance a few days ago, it took them at least 2 hours to even come and look at the apartment. They cut into every wall to try to find the leak and couldnt find it, therefore having to contract out to a plumber in town to find the source of the problem. I was told a plumber cant make it to our place until Monday, 2 days later. Now, the toilet doesnt flush at all and there is no water in it. I again had to call maintenance about this last night and they let us know that the toilet is completely unusable. We were told last night that we would be given an access code to a different apartment a few buildings over just to use the bathroom. I had to call 3 more times in order to even acquire this access code that I was told Id get called with right away. The access code we were given expired after 11pm and I had to walk instead all the way to my sisters apartment to use the toilet, who luckily lives here. Its outrageous and unacceptable to be living in an apartment with no working toilet and water seeping up through the floors. We still have no solution to all of this and do not even know a definite time that a plumber will get here. Weve been told we are unable to break our lease and move to a new community. Do NOT rent here if you want functioning facilities, including a TOILET.
