Out of the different SpringHill Suites we've stayed at in NJ, this was our least favorite. The entrance isn't exactly straight forward. You'd actually enter at the Venue next door. The main entrance to the hotel feels more like a side entrance. No pool. Plastic cups in the hotel suite. No glass. Weird. The LR and bedroom of the corner suite we had had SO MUCH empty space. No furniture on it. Just useless wide open space. It took multiple requests to get a plunger up to the room. The bed and pillows were comfortable! The breakfast was typical but I ended up with stomach cramping after each breakfast there. We won't stay at this particular one again. Rooms: I can't remember the number but we were told it was the only suite on that floor. Sounds cool until you enter it. To the right of the door there's basically space for an entire king size bed setup but there's nothing there. Empty. Same thing in the bedroom, not as big but still awkwardly excessive. If you're a family with multiple small children, it'd be perfect for rollouts. Nearby activities: Woodbridge Center used to be a decent mall but most of it is closed. The stores there are strange. The kinds where the stuff is cheap but you can't get full refunds lol Two of the main anchor stores are shuttered. There's a Dave and Busters arcade and an Applebee's who tables and floors are as sticky as molasses. They have these indoor activity "stores" where you can shoot airsoft guns at targets for like 20 bucks a clip. Menlo Park Mall is a nicer experience. Food court. A few big restaurants to choose from. Barnes n Nobles. There's Merrill Park in Iselin. Roosevelt Park in Edison. The Thomas Edison Museum. Unique Thrift is South Plainfield. There are waterfront walkways and parks along the Raritan. Little Korea town in Edison. Little India in Iselin. So so much to eat around here!! Walkability: There are many cafes, restaurants, shopping nearby but dangerous to walk to. No proper sidewalks and crosswalks in the area of Route 9.
