Me and my wife celebrated my 77th birthday tonight at Trattoria Toscana. I have always been critical of fake Italian restaurants like Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill. I wanted to eat authentic Italian Cuisine. Trattoria delivered. The Antipasto Misto for 2 set the stage. It had all of the classic Antipasto elements of meat, cheese, olives, anchovies, and tomatoes. It was better than I had hoped for (see photo)
We skipped the pasta (primi) and went straight to the main course (Secondi) . The strip steak was cooked to perfection and potatoes, squash and sauted spinach were excellent. My wife had the chicken Francese. She said that this was also excellent. We finished the meal off with the almond cake and cappuccino. The dessert was fantastic.
This is a family run authentic Italian restaurant. If you have only eaten in chain restaurants you may have to remember that these people are serving you in what they feel is their home. It is a different experience. One that I am looking forward to repeating.

We had a wonderful time last night at Trattoria Toscana. The food was amazing and the service to our group of ten people was fantastic! Thank you, Claudia, Rudy, Chico and the other lady whose name i cant remember. We'll certainly be back.
