I still cannot believe how much improvement I had with my Step 2 in just a little over a month with Dr. Tuhan. TLDR: They helped me remain in medical school and increased my Surgery NBME score by 17 points with only 3 weeks of tutoring! Details: I was on my LAST leg with medical school, I had already failed the surgery shelf x2 and I was desperate to find a way to improve my score. I found selectmedtutors during a random google search in a Panera, and submitted an inquiry on their website. Within 20 minutes, Dr. Kumar called me and told me the plan he had for me to succeed (within the short time frame I had-only 3 weeks). I took a chance and purchased the services and over the course of 3 weeks, I spent 20 hrs total meeting with 2 of the surgery tutors (Shout out to Dr. Tuhan and future Dr. Ganesan).They were both very knowledgeable and helped me feel more confident in my own knowledge. (Dr. Tuhan gave me a study schedule to do each day and it kept me on track with my surgical topics) They both helped me identify high yield topics and gave me helpful resources to use. I took my NBME at the end of the 3 weeks and my score went up 17 points!! (I only needed 2 points to pass and would have been thankful just for that, but it went up 17 points!!) I'm amazed at how much I KNEW on the exam. I didn't fall into my usual rhythm of feeling hopeless the minute the exam started. I actually recognized concepts and even better, knew the ANSWERS!... 5 STARS and a THANKFUL heart.

Select Med Tutors made a world of difference in my approach to Step 3. Dr. Kumar called me within a few hours to discuss my goals and he then connected me with Dr. Lock. I worked with Dr. Lock to tailor my study schedule to meet the demands of my grueling Residency schedule. Dr. Lock was flexible and responsive to questions as they came up between sessions. Their approach to studying and reviewing material is unmatched. I learned a lot about test-taking through my sessions with Select Med Tutors. My score increased by 30 points compared to when I took Step 3 the first time. Select Med Tutors helped me continue to propel forward as I move toward the second half of my residency program. I recently worked with Dr. Tuhan for my medical school exam prep, and he was great! I knew that I couldn't improve on my own so I reached out to Select Med Tutors for better assistance. They were so quick to find me the help I needed! Dr. Tuhan and I worked through Pharm and Path, two very difficult courses, but I really did feel like he was so patient and helpful. He recommended great resources, that I still use. I highly recommend working with Select Med Tutors if you feel like you need that extra help and guidance.

Dr. Kumar called me literally less than 5 minutes after I submitted an inquiry and reassured me that he thought it was possible for me to hit my goal score in the month I had left to study! He set me up with Nicholas as my tutor, and we met every week day up until my exam. Nicholas immediately laid out a plan with me on where I could improve and helped not only with content, but tips on how to take the exam. He was patient and knowledgeable, and also made sure that I fully understood a concept or an answer before moving on. In one month I jumped 8 points and ultimately scored 1 point above my goal score on the final.
