Here We Grow

We have been at Here We Grow since September of 2022 in Minnies Munchkins with Ms. Lisa, Ms. Kaya (now in Poohs Hunnies), and Ms. Kelly. It has been a wonderful year. We were kicked out of our prior daycare for excessive biting. He did it for about a week at Here We Grow and then that was the end of it! The way they handled it was SO much nicer than our prior daycare. They sent me the kindest email telling me what happened and what they thought triggered it. They told me how they were going to help him to modify his behavior, and they did exactly what they said they would! I saw over the video camera how they were shadowing him to modify his behavior to play positively without resorting to biting. (Our prior daycare had said they would do this, but didnt. Then they would tell me that he was so fast and was able to bite before they could stop him. It only takes a moment!) Whatever Ms. Lisa and her support teacher explained to him and enforced was extremely effective, since hed been biting sometimes as much as 3-4 times a day for 8 months and then stopped after just a couple of weeks with them. I could not have been more relieved and appreciative of the way they handled it and how they helped us. I am truly grateful that we came to Here We Grow, and I only regret not switching to them sooner!! They were also extremely accommodating with acclimating him to the class before our actual start date. The staff here are so caring and organized, and the teachers are fairly consistent, which tells you that they like working there, which is a really good sign of a great daycare! Thank you, Here We Grow, for taking such great care of our 2-year-old!

We recently joined here we grow in Westfield, NJ and are really enjoying the experience our little one is having there! The teachers are absolutely wonderful and caring and truly care about the well being of their littles. We already are seeing a world of a difference in terms of his development and learning skills prior to his previous daycare. The curriculum and schedule of activities throughout the day really add structure, consistency, and balance to their day!

Our almost 2 year old son has been attending Here We Grow for 16 months now and he absolutely loves it.  He jumps at the mention of school and is all smiles when he sees his teachers in the morning.  The curriculum, depending on which class your child is in, is filled with activities and is very supportive for continued growth.  On the parental side, we get a quick response from management any time we have a question, and they are very proactive with their communications.  We are very pleased and look forward to watching our son move through the ranks at Here We Grow!

Here We Grow has been watching my son for almost a year since he was 7 months old. The staff is extremely caring from teachers to director. I appreciate the infant sheets and having access to a camera. When my son was still on breastmilk they would send any leftovers home rather than dumping. Thank you for being an excellent childcare center!

If there was a 6th star, I'd give it! I'm a teacher, so my expectations for an early childhood center were high. The director, Miss Jennifer, is not only incredibly kind and intelligent, she truly understands the pedagogy behind child development, and supports the entire faculty and staff in implementing best practices for each age group. All of the teachers are very communicative with parents, and open to feedback and being a collaborative team. HWG is the gold-standard in child development: my son had a speech delay due to being a COVID baby, as well as needing tubes in his ears. Within 6 weeks of being in Miss Deborah's class, he was speaking with greater fluency, broader vocabulary, and his receptive language had increased by leaps and bounds. He follows directions, and now understands what it means when we say "clean up" or "let's get our shoes on". The incredibly warm and nuturing environment is so heart-warming. I feel like I'm seeing extended members of our family when I to go pick up my son. And we have only been there since August! Look no further for a second home for your little person.
