    Around 12 PM a very very low inventory..... notice that focaccia filling went down and prices way way up to $17 a piece. Now add a drink and that a whopping $25!!!!

    Very unexpected delight right in downtown Westfield, NJ Ive had everything from the sandwiches, to the pizza and the cookies to the coffee. All are very unique and authentic to Italy. Sandwich bread is very light, yet satisfying. Never felt super stuffed after eating, but always pleasantly full. Its a testament to the high quality ingredients within each product. The espresso is super smooth and delicious. Coffee is delicious. Ive traveled quite a bit and all told I think youll be VERY hard pressed to find anything quite like it in the States.

    UPDATE: I just wanted to share my latest experience at Farinolio since my initial review. I've now attended at least 4 or 5 vegan cooking classes since my original review and I can only reiterate what I said before. The food is *always* outstanding but meeting and getting to know the other guests and cooking together is really the highlight. And this is because the atmosphere is warm and welcoming right from the start, thanks to Chef Laura and staff (in addition to Laura, Chef Margherita was at the last event which made the experience even more fun! I hope Margherita comes back one day!). It really is no exaggeration to say that I feel like we're a family as we cook together in the kitchen. I already just booked another cooking class next month and I can't wait to go! It goes without saying that I continue to enjoy their vegan schiacciata during the day when I'm in the neighborhood! (last time I was there, they were sold out but they graciously made one fresh for me.) ORIGINAL REVIEW: I had lunch here after hearing they had vegan options. And I was glad I did. I had a schiacciata (peperonata, I think it was called) and a croissant to go. Everything was great, but that schiacciata was outstanding! I'm getting hungry again writing this review. Upon paying, they let me know that there would be a vegan cooking class/dinner in a couple of weeks so I signed up for that. Regarding the cooking class, it was so much fun! After eating a variety of fantastic antipasti to start off, we went back into the kitchen to prepare the butternut squash gnocchi ourselves, following the expert guidance of Laura, who instructed us not only in the food preparation but also in speaking Italian. The whole evening was so enjoyable. Not just the food but the warm, friendly atmosphere which was due in no small part to how well everything was organized and presented by Laura and the staff. I'll surely sign up for the next vegan event. In the meantime, I'll continue to drop by whenever I'm in the area. Highly recommended!

Dear Bennet,Thank you for taking the time to write a review for us. By the way, we are investigating the reason why your review received a pre-populated reply from a year ago. It's never been our practice to use pre populated replies on social media. Regarding your comments we make everything fresh every day and sell out most of the time by lunch time. As for the focaccia filling we never changed the quantity of product we use since we opened in 2018. We don't believe in the use of excessive filling (meats.cheeses, etc.) as we always seek to create the right balance and harmony among the ingredients and the schiacciata bread we bake every day on the premises. Our bread is very light and crispy and we don't want the filling to hide its high quality but rather enhance it. As for our prices, we keep selecting the best Italian ingredients we can find in the market and their cost has been increasing multiple times in the past few years, though we decided not to update our pricing with the same frequency. Once again, thank you so much for being one of our guests and we hope to see you soon again at Farinolio. Grazie mille!
