We had a lovely dinner at Alps last night. My friend and I split the Cuban panini and the Rodeo wrap with curly fries and waffle fries. The food came out super fast and was so good. The hostess was very friendly and our waitress automatically refilled our drinks
I live in the city and have stopped here many times when Im in Jersey. Its clean and has a chill vibe and the food always tastes fresh and delicious. Also they have some great cakes, so save room for dessert!

I have been going to Alps Diner every Sunday for almost 3 years now. Its become a tradition for my family, the food is good, waiters are friendly and the owners always go above and beyond to make sure your experience is worthwhile. I dont usually leave reviews but I noticed two bad reviews which did not seem usual. I see from the reviews that the owner tried to offer the meal for free, this is a sign of a successful restaurant. Ive never been anywhere else that offers me a free meal for a mistake. I love Alps and will definitely continue going every week!

RESPONSE TO ALPS RESPONSE:
Did you check the video footage to review with your staff how not to react to customers? Did you check the video footage to see what you could do differently to avoid always having an empty parking lot? Did you check the video footage to see your manager chase us out the door and hold the door to prevent us from leaving while Im holding my daughter? I see a lot of bad reviews on here as well. Maybe you can take the time to read them throughly and train your staff to provide great customer service. Calling customers liars over a bad review doesnt make you look any better.
I was there on Saturday night around 6:30 PM. It was not our first time there, so seeing the parking lot empty, it was no surprise to us. They usually do not have a lot of people, but the food has always been decent. When we went inside, we saw that we were the only customers in the diner. The staff seated my husband while my sister, daugher, and I went to the restroom. When we returned to the too small booth we were approached by our waitress. We didnt get a warm welcome at all. Not a hello, or a how are you guys? Absolutely nothing. Her first question was what do you want to drink? as if she did not want to serve us. We gave our drink order, and my 3 year old (who apparently had more manners than this adult) thanked the waitress without even an acknowledgement from her. When she came back, my husband was ordering his food (one of the dinners) and she asked for our menus before asking him if wanted soup and/or a vegetable. My husband asked what soup they had before she just started walking away, and she told him after a huge sigh, and very rudely. When he made his choice, she asked if he wanted that instead of the fries. My husband was confused because he thought the menu said it didnt come with fries, so he tried to ask what she was talking about. She then started arguing with him over whether it came with fries or not instead of just clarifying what the item came with. After she started to walk away, my husband asked her if she was okay because it was pretty clear she did not want to wait on us. She then tried to again argue about the fries and at that point we had enough. We stood from the table and left. My husband asked to cancel our order, and that is when the owner tried to pull him back in by his arm. The owner tried to explain that dinner was on him and to come back - giving the impression that this has happened before. When we declined, he tried to pull the door closed so we could not get out. It was ridiculous. We will never go back and I will tell my friends & relatives to not even bother going here in the future. Bad business for a diner that seems to never have customers.
