Absolutely wonderful place to learn how to carve even if youve never picked up a tool in your life, they teach you from how to sharpen your tool to how to become a great Carver. Its a great place to socialize meet wonderful people and not learn to carve but learn pyrography art classes, sculpting and a great place to work with some wonderful people. Ive been here for 12 years and its best thing Ive done for myself.

Very friendly staff, who are incredibly knowledgeable about the art of wood carving. Lots of Books, tools including Stubai and flexcut gouges, foredom power carving tools, and various basswood, walnut, mahogany and cottonwood-bark pieces to suit a carvers need. There are woodcarving classes, also clay modeling/sculpture classes and watercolors classes offered as well

I attended this school for about eight years starting when I was twelve years old. Jerry was a great teacher and treated me like I was his grandson, and I will be ever thankful for the mentorship and artistic experience I learned over his careful eye. The other students were tons of fun to be around as well, and we've all had many great laughs along with our time carving together. I would recommend this school to anyone, and hope that I can find the time one day in the future to attend the classes again. This place had such an impact on my teenage years, so I hope it sticks around for the next twelve year old kid looking to try something new.

I've been a student here for about 10 years and find it very educational as well as a great social outlet. Gerry is an amazing teacher and there is a great chemistry between the students. Everyone helps each other and there is a lot of interesting conversation throughout the class. I look forward to this 3 hour oasis away from my normal work each week.
