There are at least 2 recent malpractice lawsuits and settlements against this doctor, one saying a patient became paralysed following a surgery performed by him. Please do your research and read the public court records attached to this review. There should be a rule that requires surgeons to disclose this information to patients. I would have avoided him completely. He and his staff are obsessed with micro-managing your life after surgery, unlike any other surgeon's office I've seen, in a clear attempt to try to limit further lawsuits by patients. He admitted to me on the phone that they're concerned with "some lawyer coming after them" after surgery. Despite having 3 separate appointments and countless phone calls with him and his staff, they informed me last minute that they require a caretaker to stay with you 24 hours after surgery. He crassly said that he would cancel the surgery that I waited months for if I didn't get someone, even though I had already agreed to it the day before. He literally called me and gave me a 30-minute ultimatum and a "last chance". All this while I had already agreed to call them back, give them everything they needed, and make arrangements for a caretaker the day before. I canceled the surgery with him then and there because of his smug and rude attitude and I'm glad I did despite my need for surgery. These are not qualities of a level-headed or reasonable surgeon and that worried me. I researched this doctor and found out that he's involved in multiple lawsuits for serious medical malpractice. I've attached some of the lawsuit documentation. This terrible experience has also resulted in a further delay of surgery I need. I believe there is a clear pattern of unsettling behavior. Beware.

Wonderful staff.very friendly kind caring people.i would highly recommend Dr.Greenleaf for any neck and spine issues.he did my neck fusion very compassionate.
