Lions Gate

All honesty this was my favorite new job as an activities assistant, I was starting to love the residents and my co workers but then Cathy said she was going to give me a schedule and never sent me my schedule, I texted her and then she opened my message days later and left me on seen. Today I received a letter that I have been terminated ( thank god I went and got another job and already had started ) but I am currently trying to find ways to report this.

Working at Lions Gate Nexdine- Let me start with the positive. 1st Ianette, Cortland, Chef Marvin, Chef Vern, the two female chefs (throw down in the kitchen) and all the rest of the kitchen staff, chefs, prep cooks and line cooks (temp and permanent) are all awesome in their own way. I have watched them deal with unorganized situations, that was just handed to them from upper management, with ease. I've watched them handle pressure and difficulties with a smile. They honestly do their best even though upper management drops the ball and often. Now let's talk about upper management. They could do better. Ron doesn't know how to handle pressure at all. He is very mean to say it nice. He is only on the floor when his boss shows up. He never smiles and if you say anything to him he snarl at you. If looks could... Let's just say it's not the most pleasant situations in a work environment. They yell at you often. Talk down to you and pushes blame on lower level staff. Ayad is ok for the most part but he needs to breathe and not be so rude to his staff when the pressure they (management) created, is up and on. If they didn't have the supervisors they have, this place would have been went under. They would do better placing Ianette and Cortland in the position that Ayad and Ron currently have. The days that Ron isn't around the operations runs smoothly. Ayad just needs to breathe. He isn't horrible he just needs to learn how to speak to people when the pressure is up. He also needs to learn how to be accountable when things go wrong and not blame his staff. The fine dining days only exist when they are not in the building. It becomes hell's kitchen for the staff and it shows by the end of the shift. Most temps are only booking because it has been slow every where else. It's quick money and we don't have to stay but for the people that have no options...I pray for them if they are working under Nexdine- because this company make Lions Gate look bad.

Having my father in law at 2 different retirement communities, have your elders live with you. The money spent here or elsewhere can be used for at home nurses. Embrace elderly

Wonderful company and community lionsgate Nexdine the company doing the food now is very unprofessional if u want to work for this company at this location good luck the manger Ron will at every turn try to destroy u never work in food service

Absolute horror show. Upper management are incompetent. They falsified a POLST and it followed my mom to Artis. They are holding $200,000.00 of my mothers money. They have no values let alone Jewish values. Stay away.
