Awful. First, he never took an effort to explain his prices. Regular mowing is one price, but in the spring time when there was still no grass and the yard was absolutely clean, he charged 8 (eight!) times more referring to it as "spring clean-up". Fine. They have to compensate somehow for the winter season.
Next, when we overseeded grass here and there all over the backyard, my husband called him and left a message (he never picks up and never calls you back) asking to skip two weeks so that the lawn mower does not damage young grass. If only he responded, we'd be happy to pay for the skipped weeks. Instead his guys showed up the next week saying they did not get any instructions from Mike. Fine, misunderstanding happens. I called him right away - no answer, left a message. Asked the guys to skip the next week as well. But instead, the next week they show up again!
Next was that only time when I actually got him on the phone and he started arguing with me that no one ever told him to skip the weeks. Instead of saying he missed our calls and voice mails (may be an apology would be a good idea?), he insisted that neither me nor my husband ever reached out to him. He was rude and explicitly chauvinistic.
Complete absence of simple basic politeness and ethics. On top of stupidity.

I manage condominium associations & have work with MPL; as manager working with Mike and his crew for landscaping and snow removal services. We have been very happy with their work and they are always professional.
