Awful. Attempted to enter with my family but the door was locked with diners inside. Sign on door instructed to pull open? Entered drive thru to be told chicken will be ready in 35 minutes & meatloaf in 20? All during the dinner hour

This was one of our favorite restaurants on Rt 22 in Union. The food was always delicious, and the place was always clean. The staff was always friendly and efficient. I am glad it's one of the few restaurants that are still there on Rt 22 as it is expensive for restaurants to be cost effective in New Jersey with high rents and taxes.

Staff shortage so you can only do drive through.person taking my order didn't quite understand what I wantex,but food was good. So I will go again been there several times in past,but prefer ordering inside so I know if server understood request,and or did what I asked

Was there when they celebrated 36th anniversary. It was drive-thru only due to the surge in covid cases. Not surprise to see long line, and when it was my turn, they ran out of chicken, waited for an extra 15 minutes. The manager didn't say anything but I could see what happen through the window, the cars behind me however, were getting a little impatient, it would be nice if the manager let the customers know what's going on. I am sure the customers would understand the situation on a day like this. That said, the chicken was really hot, fresh, juicy and yummy, glad I ordered 2 of them

UPDATED 2021: For most of 2021...I'm not sure of the exact length of time...every time I go to Boston Market on Rt 22, there appears to be only three people working...one cooking and preparing food...one at drive-thru and one at the front counter. As has been reported about restaurants across the country, this location is short-staffed. The staff is over worked. They are working from open to close, 6 to 7 days a week. They are exhausted, and I'm guessing frustrated. Having worked in restaurants before, I'm sure they get some rude customers. Well, every time I have visited this location, I have received excellent customer service, in spite of all the extreme challenges experienced by the staff. Sebastian, in particular, goes out of his way to prepare my order like I like it. He is always polite and patient EVERY TIME. My order has been right each time and delicious. The food and service has brought me back to Boston Market 3-4 times a week, sometimes. Look, we are all unusually stressed these days; so, the reliable and consistent excellent service Sebastian and his small team provide is even more appreciated... and I count it as a great achievement, all factors and things considered. ---------------------------------- ORIGINAL FROM 2020 (was 3 stars): I was very disappointed about this Boston Market's handling of pre-orders for Thanksgiving Day. There was a line out the door and around the building...with a wait time of about two hours. Thank God, everyone was masked up. The food was good, but they did forget to include the topping for the Sweet Potato Casserole. There were several other people who returned, because something was forgotten in their order. I expected a better system and better preparation for the holiday rush.
