Union City Public Library

Clean & bright. Staff very friendly and helpful. BUT.. "need to teach ALL yes ALL of the STAFF more" about how to use the computer to print. Print from different venues like print from someone's "Email" or print from their "cellphone" any documents or from cellphone print like a Court document or a medical report from a seperate link a Medical Portal for reports. Or print a "SCREEN SHOT " from a "cellphone" . Also open up on weekends have longer hours because people have to work on weekends and can't be there during the early day hours. PLEASE.

This library is a really nice place to focus on your stuff, bun only until 2-3pm because once the kids from school come, theres no control of noise, and gets very difficult to keep studying

The library is clean, organized and there's good light to work, but there's absolutely no control of silence. Libraries are supposed to be quiet, so people can read, study or work there. There're almost always very noisy students (some of them even disrespectful), sometimes kids running all around, and there's absolutely no control of that... Sadly, if you're looking of a quiet place to work, I do not recommend this place... but otherwise the library is so nice and clean, and the staff is very polite and kind

New Jersey : Caution!! Walked in to browse the fiction books. The insecure crepey old lady at the front desk screamed at me where am I going and to not touch the books because I am a "nasty dirty China girl." Unbelievable. I am not Chinese!! Then she screamed at me that I should know to sign up at the desk for computer time immediately upon entering. I said I don't need to sign up as I have wifi at home, I came in here to browse the books. This front desk person proceeded to berate me with racial slurs. She is an absolute horror. My roommate came in here before and was also inundated with disgusting assumptions, like that people of color can't read & only go to the library to look at porn on the computers. Exactly what this horrid lady insinuated about me! We tried to say these were one-offs but honestly, we are so disturbed at this point that we felt we needed to write this review! Disgusting! AVOID!!!
