What a unexpected, pleasant surprise I had this afternoon. In searching the internet for a good surgeon, who does spinal fusion, I keyed in on Dr. Lapani. I decided to call and make a appointment. Much to my surprise the person who answered the phone was actually Dr. Lapani himself. The Dr. preceded to ask me what my issues were and as we continued speaking he asked if I had a MRI and where, at that moment he downloaded it. Halfway through the conversation I asked Dr. Lapani if he took Medicare and he said no but that did not stop him. Dr. Lapani actually took the time to explain the MRI to me, give me a clear picture of where I stood and told me the symptoms to look for in case the situation progressed. I wish the Dr. did take Medicare because I will tell you I would definitely continue my care with him, this Dr. is one of a kind!! I would say to anyone who wants a great surgeon look no further. This Doctor is dedicated to his profession. Thank you so much Dr.Lapani!

Spoke to Kathy from Dr. Lipani's office this morning. I can not stress enough how helpful she was. It is not easy navigating all the hidden rules with insurance. She is clearly an expert in this field. Also, this office obviously has high ethical standards.

Written by my husband: Dr. Lipani was my 8th+ spine/neurosurgeon who was the only one to solve the literal nightmare of 3 exponentially painful years of near bed bound spinal agony. Being post 5 surgeries and countless spinal procedures leaving me with no solutions, we were looking for palliative care when we were recommended to him by their home visit doctor due to being in my 30s. Before even seeing me in person, he saw my case and not only spotted what countless doctors were missing, but had a comprehensive breakdown over the phone with my wife and I that day about what to do. He not only had a great potential diagnosis of what was wrong, but a precise answering of hardware and procedure specific questions. Having cancer just prior to this, I had just about given up on life, and more so an end to the constant pain(which meds were barely helping at this stage and time was running out). My wife and I finally had hope. The procedures were agony(If I had him years ago it would not have been so horrible), but after his first of two surgeries I knew he was successful. The screaming constant pain in my spine/legs was silenced. Turned out my height/size made my issue significantly more complex than other doctors could figure out, but he knew from day one. Although this review is not even 2 months after my fixed spinal fusion/disk replacements, I have been slowly grabbing back a life I have not had for years. I see an end to the hell I was in(recovery for these are rough naturally yet alone with the conditions he had to do it under was brutal). Despite the surgery pain, I have done more for myself than I have since 2019. I can walk and sit again, among more hygienic things. I have no doubt that had I first found him, I would not have had to endure years of a torturous existence and had I not, I would be writhing in agony wishing for my heart to give out. He has been exemplary in both his communications(taking calls and concerns at hours I have rarely experienced with any of my doctors ever) as well as reassuring with a comfort that did not come from niceties(I've had countless doctors BS me), but sheer brilliance and mastery of the craft you can hear just speaking with him. He is a tier above all other spine doctors, and anyone with severe, complex, or nebulous spine issues I cannot recommend him enough. I finally feel human again. Without exaggeration, he saved my life, and for that I will forever be thankful for him.

I had a neck injury at the beach and Dr. Lipani without hesitation or delay reviewed my medical documents, and directed me to my course of action with compassion and professional expertise. He really does have an amazing bedside manner!

My name is Dr. Sam Gallucci and I am honored to have the opportunity to write a review on Dr. John Lipani. Dr. Lipani is certainly one of a kind who specializes in revision spine surgery. I was seeking second opinions on back surgery where fusion was recommended by other Neurosurgeons. I was seeking advice from the best, so I contacted Dr. Lipani. In my conversation with his Nurse Kathy, I was informed that he did not accept my insurance but was willing to review my MRI and other Xrays. Keep in mind that I had reached out to other Neurosurgeons who did not take insurance and was told the fee would range from $375 to $500 for 1 office visit. Not the case with Dr. Lipani. He reviewed my X-rays, spoke with me on the phone for 20 minutes and gave me his recommendations. He then sent me a formal written report of his findings and recommendations that I could share. He certainly considers people above monetary gain. He performed this service free of charge and never once requested any payment. Dr. Lipani is an amazing human being, a top surgeon who specialize in revision spine surgery. I would recommend him without hesitation.
