        He started at age 3y. He was frustrated with the structure and didnt want to go to class at first. So we took a break but then at age 4 he started saying When am I going back to karate? So were back and he is loving it. And he is better at listening and following directions. Shihan Swingle must be doing something right. I have recommended it to friends and they love it too.

        Karate Fit is a great place for beginners or kids new to the sport. The welcoming and comfortable atmosphere makes it easy for young ones to get excited about training. In a short time, my 7 year old has adapted well and even looks forward to going to class (which is remarkable, because you can't get my kid motivated for anything besides snacks)!

        Highly recommend Karate Fit USA. My daughter just started and she enjoys every single class. Sensei Mark Swingle is not only professional but also thoughtful and fun. All the instructors are very responsible. They impact students by being disciplined and caring themselves. Classes are well scheduled and parents are kept informed at all times. Its a hidden gem (dragon ball) in NJ.

      At Karate Fit USA, the focus is YOU!

      We offer small class sizes and age and level-based skills.  If you learn better with structure and attention, you should enjoy training with us! We currently have students from ages 3 to 72, grouped by age and experience to focus on appropriate content. Whatever your starting point, we will help you meet and exceed your goals!

      We are a longstanding independent Lawrenceville martial arts school, not a corporate chain store, and are proud to have been voted Best Martial Arts School by Trentonian readers. Sensei Swingle has multiple black belts and extensive experience in the US and Japan, and as 5th degree Shihan (Master Instructor) has been Head Instructor since 2018. We focus on personal attention and practical techniques, traditional weapons and Small Circle Jujitsu for enjoyable but effective self-defense training: Less fluff, more stuff!

      He is doing great! The language barrier was tricky at first, but he is much more comfortable with everything and getting better every week! Nice punches!!

      So glad to have him back! It is definitely easier when they want to come! We are not simply a “jump around and have fun for 30 min” school, but glad he is having fun while also getting better at the techniques!

      Thanks so much. She is a rare under-3 that can focus with the 3-5 year-olds! (The last one we had start that young is now 19, over 6’ and a 3rd degree Black Belt with us - but no pressure! ;) lol. ) Hopefully she will continue to enjoy!
