CommuniKids

Came here for speech therapy sessions and it was very mediocre. Our therapist was nice and meant well but was not great at keeping our child engaged and our child was bored in sessions. We asked for specific tips of things to work on each week and were given a generic handout not tailored for our kid. Communikids was ok, but now that we are working with someone through early intervention we see such a difference in quality! The state therapist is high energy and in just 2 sessions has given us great tips.

Deciding to come to Communikids to have my son evaluated changed our lives for the better. My sons discomfort level with everything he did on a daily basis was becoming too much for me to handle. So, I decided to have him evaluated by Laura Martucci at Communikids. She validated my intuition, and knew right away he showed signs of Sensory Processing Disorder, otherwise known as SPD. We worked together for a year, and she got him to a place I never thought was possible. He was comfortable, thriving, and felt so much better than he had been in the past. What she did was magic in my eyes. And all along the way, spending so much time with me! Talking me through tough situations I was having a hard time getting my son through, the frustrations, the worry, and also celebrating the accomplishments and praising me for doing the work at home. My son saw not only Laura, but other OT's as we came twice a week, plus integrated seeing Rachel for Food Therapy. everyone was so loving, patient, kind, experienced, knowledgeable, and accommodating to his needs. And a huge thank you to Russell for constantly working with my ever-changing schedule and conflicts, always finding a way for my son to be seen each week. To Karen, thank you for always helping me navigate through insurance and giving me exactly what I need to hand into our insurance company. Both my son and I truly enjoyed our experience at Communikids, and  I highly recommend Communikids to anyone who needs help. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

My children have had a wonderful experience with both the speech therapists and occupational therapists at CommuniKids. I have found every one of the therapists that they have worked with to be kind, patient, focused on my child's individual needs and enthusiastic about their speciality. The office staff is also a pleasure to work with.

CommuniKids has a  deep bench of speech therapists who have helped my son make a substantial improvement. They are very accommodating and organized. They have a great reputation in Manhattan and Summit. We have seen quite a few specialists and CommuniKids definitely stands out.
