Sadly, I was under the impression that I made a great choice with sending my first and only child to this daycare. I mean from the conversations with the owner , the similar food choices and to be quite honest the fact that its a Black Owned Daycare I was elated. That feeling was short lived. I work remote twice a week so I needed child care for only three days ; they didnt have enough childcare providers on Fridays so my son could only go twice a week and I had to find an alternative EVERY Friday first RED flag. The price changed 3 times because I wasnt approved for the subsidy program to help me out says the owner . second RED flag . I asked about payment preference and was offered Cashapp or Zelle (if your a real business owner youd know why these payment portals are inappropriate) . Third RED flag.
The week after Memorial Day we were in pursuit to drop my son off (Tuesday Morning) when the owner rushes outside apologizing for not remembering to call me to let me know theyll be closing early because most parents kept their children home ( this is at 7am I have to be at work for 9am , she offered to watch my son until 10am) this is all after already being paid for the two days! His father had to stay home from work because I couldnt miss work and we had no alternative. She offered to watch my son Thursday to make up for Tuesday but I didnt need a sitter that day because again I work remote that day . The following week came , we paid for only 1 day seeing as though we have a credit from the week before. Long story short the Owner says she doesnt forward payment from the previous week so we would have to pay for two days AGAIN although she only watched my son 1 day due to her own NEGLIGENCE. Although my argument was valid she refused to send us out money back so I took my son completely out of the daycare and wished her well. I was so disgusted, so hurt and honestly Im petrified to send my son to another daycare. I thought I had good judgement of character until this encounter. I would NEVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS DAYCARE; she really has no business etiquette nor morale. Shes clearly thirsty for money and desperation breeds the ugliest people. I could see why shes unable to be fully staffed. BE SAFE OUT HERE . I have text receipts as well if she TRIES to discredit the TRUTH.

SO I just had a very interesting interaction at this business and supposedly the self-identified owner.
I pulled my car into an open spot in front of their business to respond quickly to a message on my phone. There were homemade signs posted on pillars stating that parking was allocated to only student families and staff. The lot was full and all the open spots were only available in front of this business, which shares parking w/ other business in the strip mall lot. Since these signs were not installed via the township I figured I could reply to a message on my phone quickly and be out before there was any issue.
Within a half minute of being in this spot, one of the store employees came out and told me to move and I was not allowed to park there. My response was I'd be out momentarily ... to which her reply was I needed to move immediately. I asked if these spots, which is a shared parking lot used by a multitude of business, were specifically zone for their business, and why no township signage was present. She told me she would get the manager... which I figured was fine, I'd finish up my message and be gone as I had said within a minute or two.
Well, that minute did not come. The manager was out within 15 seconds of the employee's return, and immediately was confrontational citing she'd have the police there and I was going to be issued a ticket. My response was again to ask if the town had zoned the lot specifically to this business and where was the town issued signage, to which her reply was to take a picture of my license plate (Which is fine, welcome to being in the public), call me fat multiple times (WHICH I am, but WOW..) and then say I was harassing her by sitting in my car in a communal business parking lot for approximately two minutes to write a response to a message on my phone.
SO, normally I'd laugh this off. BUT with this instance, this is a daycare for children which was my only response when she called me fat out of the blue. Anyone bringing their children there should know this story especially as it relates to people providing guardianship services to your child. If they behave like this over a parking spot they claim to own with a printer made sign, imagine if a parent has a problem with the care they are providing your child. Beware.
