I have trained martial arts all my life! I started boxing at four years old. I just finished my third week at Daniel Travares Academy. Ive trained almost every major martial art and I have done Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 16 years. I should mention I am 66 years old, a lifetime of study. Ive never been treated so good! I am already a part of the family. The level of skill and the helpfulness of every student is tremendous. They are definitely a Team!!! There are many medals and many trophies. I have never had this much attention from a Professor in my practice! If you have a desire to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, this is the place for you!

It is always an honor to train at Professor Tavares Academy. We are always welcomed with open arms by everyone. Everyone treats us with respect and professionalism. Never any "head hunting" or anyone trying to prove anything. Eveytime I have a question, Professor Tavares is always happy to answer.

I am the student of one of Daniels black belts and have been to his academy several times to train. Overall, Daniel is an amazing instructor, highly accomplished competitor, and a legend in the bjj community. I highly recommend Daniel's academy.
