Was in the process of getting a a new roof with solar from Orbit. Their reps name was Seth, and he was outstanding. I unfortunately had to cancel the project due to other expenses I was incurring but Seth was great to work with, and I highly recommend him along with Orbit to anyone looking for solar energy! Service: Roof installation

We had our panels installed last year and still haven't received our rebate check. I just called yesterday in regards to my check and now the customer service representative says they are now going under bankruptcy restructuring and are not issuing checks at the moment. It was just the latest in a long line of lame excuses as to why we were not getting the rebate. Also just noticed that my power bill is about the same as last year during the winter. I truly regret the decision that we made to get these panels through a company that is so unprofessional. I STRONGLY and VEHEMENTLY do not recommend this company to anyone.

From the beginning our experience has been amazing. Haley came to our home for our consultation and made us feel comfortable and not pressed to get us under contract. She was knowledgeable and professional, and the vibe she gave off throughout the whole process made it easy for us to choose Orbit in going solar. She has even made herself accessible for any questions and concerns after we got on board and kept in contact to make sure that everything is running smoothly. The installers were very professional and installed the panels in ample time as well. All and all, Orbit has a great staff of dedicated workers to ensure the process meets your expectations. We definitely recommend anyone who is on the fence of going solar to choose Orbit for the project. 6 month update: Going solar with Orbit after my initial review has been a frustrating process. After the panels were installed Orbit never sent the necessary paperwork to our electric company to have the meter swapped. We were even shown a falsified document stating that the meter was swapped August 30th. After back and forth argument that Delmarva (electric company) had no records of us even going solar, Orbit finally admitted that there was a miscommunication on their end and the meter was finally swapped in October. Then again, Orbit failed to schedule an audit inspection to our home, and it wasnt until we called and inquired about the grant funds that we were expecting to receive in January that they again admitted that someone forgot to schedule the audit and an audit was scheduled for December. This whole process has delayed us in receiving this grant fund which has now been pushed back to May. Now to the Panels we have not saved any money whatsoever, but have incurred another bill. What Orbit says were producing is not what Delmarva says were producing. The Auditor even stated that our bill should not have been so high and that something is either wrong with the panels or the meter. We called and emailed Orbit and they continue to ignore the problem and have someone come out. Ive been told that the problem would be fix after the 3rd billing cycle since the meter has been swapped. Were in February and still no letting up. Nothing has changed since we went solar regarding household usage and yet our bill has had no effect. Our sales rep has also mislead us by withholding information regarding the tax credit funds we would receive. She failed to mention about a credit forward process that applies to the tax credit. She initially said that we would receive about $10,000 and would be able to either put it back into the panels or utilize it for the home (it would be our choice). She said that we would receive it this tax season. However, the credit is based off of how much taxes I owe. So if I owe $3000 in taxes thats how much Im going to receive and the rest will be credited forward to the following year. We were dependent on that money since we went into a financing contract with a flooring company to pay the floor off within 12 months to not inquire interest fees. Having that information regarding the credit forward would have been useful, but it looks better to say we would receive $10,000 for going solar than it depends on how much taxes I owe and thats how much Ill get back. Were also in February and I have yet to receive my tax statement to file my solar purchase on my taxes. When I called a rep told me that they went out 3 weeks ago. Perhaps they also forgot to send our statements out like everything else. I would highly recommend that you pass up on Orbit when going solar. Im sure that when done properly with a company that is on their Ps and Qs you will see the savings, but Orbit is not that company after they install the panels. Seems like everything went smooth to get the panels on our roof and the contract signed so they can cash in.

The worst customer service we have ever experienced!!! No one answers emails. If we are lucky enough to get through making a phone call that doesn't end up with a busy tone, we leave a message that doesn't get any response. We have been very patient, but there is a limit to our patience! Hire competent people if you want to stay in business. Give us the rebate check that was promised to us. Mail us the tax documents. We will be complaining to the Better Business Bureau. Maybe that will give us some results. We will not be recommending your solar company to anyone else.
