SPRINTER VAN SHOP / NOMAD SERVICE (Mercede, BMW, Sprinter)

Hello and thanks for your review. I'm sorry that you feel you were overcharged for the service on your commercial sprinter. I understand being on the road and out of town can be frustrating and prices unfamiliar. Here in the New York area the prices may be different from the Midwest. Prices do not reflect just time or the cost of a part. As a fellow business owner I'm sure you understand that there are many factors that determine pricing including location (rent), utilities, employees etc... if you went to a shop in let's say Manhattan the price would be different than the price in let's say Easton PA. The price also varies by who you hire to do a job. Let's say a professional or specialized vs a Pepboys or general mechanic. (Although their prices are also quite high now). With that being said. Your driver dropped the vehicle at our shop at 3:08pm with the heat not working issue. Keep in mind we close at 5pm. A request for approval to diagnose your vehicle of $155 (Standard sprinter diagnosis is normally $278 which is posted for all to see.) was approved by your driver onsite because he was in a rush to get back on the road. An estimate for the repairs were sent the following morning at 9:12am(thats pretty fast service if you ask me we open at 8am) . The results were determined as a defective blower regulator. However industry standard and our suggestion not a requirement is to replace the blower and regulator together at a quoted price of $869. Once you informed us one of these parts were replaced in past by a shop near you we suggested that you bring to them as a warranty issue. At no time were you coerced into repairs at our shop. In fact quite the contrary. For common repairs our system does factor pricing by package. Breaking down the pricing does not change the pricing. You spent time sending us previous invoice of 300 to change this part from the shop near you. Unfortunately we politely mentioned that our price is our price, we do not negotiate our prices but we also will never force a repair. We don't know what kind of part he used previously if the total price was 300. Maybe from China I don't know. But clearly it failed quite rapidly. I guess you get what you pay for. Nonetheless you chose to repair your vehicle understanding the costs with the option to say no. There are several dealers nearby who would easily charge $1500 or more and take about 2 to 5 days to complete. Factoring hotel stay for your driver I would say we were quite fair never taking advantage of your predicament to inflate our prices beyond our standard pricing. As you and your driver requested (speedy service) your vehicle was ready for pickup by 11am. When it comes to Sprinter Sercive as all our clients can agree "Time is Money". I need my van yesterday as everyone says. We are the fastest in the area and I may dare to say country. Our job is to get it done. Just because we know what we are doing. Keep parts in stock or pay extra to have parts delivered fast doesn't mean as a result our prices should be reduced as a penalty for that knowledge and speed in fact there honestly could and should be a premium for that type of service. But we don't do that. Our package pricing is fair, transparent, and equal for all. But hey all that I just described def sounds like a 1 star shop as you chose to rate us doesn't it. Hmmm. Then you say we make our own reviews lol while you took the time to create a second Google account so you can give us a 1 star twice. Very interesting. Have a wonderful day sir. The truth is (I'm not being cocky in saying this) many times clients complain out of frustration of the cost to maintain these vehicles. But when they settle down and analyze the situation with a clear head the consensus is the same. They realize our pricing is fair, service is fast, knowledge is spot on. And they return.
