Residence Inn by Marriott Saddle River

The room was infested with ants and we never got hot water the entire stay. They had to give us the keys to another room Daily to take showers. The first room they sent us to didnt have hot water either. They kept promising to spray for the ants but never did. There were hundreds of ants in our food in the morning. The front desk was nonchalant and acted as if our issues were normal. When I went to the front desk to complain another guests was complaining about other issues. He was Caucasian and received an apology. We are African American and received no apology even after I stated that we didnt received any type of apology. Shocked that a Marriot property was like this. We will never return!

I was staying here for business along with my wife and mother-in-law. This is my second stay at this location. I was happy to have 2 bedroom s 2 bathrooms with a living room and kitchen. I was not too happy when I saw that the oven grates were dirty, microwave surface light was out, we had no body wash in our shower, and the room had a musty smell. I was able to get rid of the musty smell by running the air conditioner for 2 days. The microwave light was promptly replaced, and we bought our own soap. The hotel is located off of Hwy 17 and in a nice area with shops, grocery stores, and restaurants 1.5 miles away. Breakfast is typical continental along with a waffle maker. Each building has washers and driers. Mkst importantly, neighboring tenants were quiet. I'll stay here again.

The woman at the reception desk (zara or sarah, sorry if my name is wrong!) was a verrrrrrrrry nice person. She found my wallet. Thanks to her, I was able to get on the plane to Japan. Thank you so much. I will definitely use this hotel again when I go back to NJ. Rooms: The cleaning staff was very diligent and kept the room beautifully furnished every other day.
