I'm a current PLC member and I could not have wished better for my expierience. I love going here, and I have learned a lot here! I hope you share the same expierience. However, I offer a word of caution. PLC isn't the right place for everyone. I would reccomed it to you, but please look at it before making any desicions!

I have been a volunteer teacher/tutor at PLC for the last 6 months. Over this time I have been so impressed by the amazing community they have created. Students learn in an environment which they enjoy coming to each day and the results can be seen in each of their graduates. Looking forward to spending even more time there next year.

Princeton Learning Cooperative is a gem for kids and parents when it come to learning. My daughter spent 4 years with them which were 4 great years. The staff there is great! They are supportive, and professional. They take time to understand the needs of both the kids and the parents. The environment there is always warm and inviting which is conducive for a good learning experience. Its a once in a lifetime opportunity and I will be forever grateful to them for all that theyve done for her to develop into the young lady that she has become. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for that kind of setting!

As parents we want our children to thrive in life. You're not suppose to see them crumble with anxiety and daily headaches because they don't want to go to school. Action is required when you start to see your child wither under the pressures of public school. That's when a friend introduced us to PLC, and I am forever grateful. PLC has amazing, caring, dedicated humans that organize, teach and mentor the students (members). They truly believe and love the self-directed approach. I cannot begin to say enough about each of the staff members. Suffice to say PLC helped my child thrive and be excited about learning again.

PLC provides a place where children cultivate their love of learning by being allowed to self-direct the classes they would take. It is such a refreshing change to the regular school system where kids are bombarded with busywork that does not necessarily translate to learning. I have seen my son wither in the public school system since we moved him there in 5th grade. His love for learning has faded and he has become apathetic about everything. He has complained about not learning anything new and the repetitive nature of the classes. It came to a point where he refused to do any more busywork and even refused to go to school. Hence, we pulled him out of the public school after his freshman year in HS and he obtained his HS diploma on what should have been his Sophomore year. Since he still doesn't know what he wants to take in college, and he was still reeling from his experience in the public school, we had to look for a place that would help him rebuild himself. Upon visiting PLC for half a day, we came home with a totally different child. He was excited to tell us about what he has learned in just a few hours. After being at PLC for only about 2.5 months, he has gained his self-confidence and his enthusiasm for learning is slowly returning. He was made new friends who were very welcoming and encouraging. Having a mentor working with him to figure out his goals and how to achieve them has been very helpful. He is also being taught Calculus by a retired Princeton professor, and will start Statistics next schoolyear. I would recommend PLC to those who are brave enough to let their kids drive their learning and discover what their passions are. I probably would have enjoyed this type of learning format myself.
