Trinity Counseling Service

I recently moved into the area and was searching for a counseling service to meet my needs. A licensed therapist kindly returned my call the same day and spent the better part of an hour listening to my experiences. She made sure to take the time to understand the kind of care I might need and point me in the right direction. It was very clear to me that their main concern was my mental health above all else. This is model behavior for a counseling service in my opinion and I would happily recommend their services to anyone searching for professional counseling.

I came here as a student when I was in grad school to become a therapist. I had heard some not great reviews from other students in the area, but was shocked at how unethical my therapist was. She was manipulative, coercive, and just plain rude. I left after a few sessions. I later ended up working at a therapy office in the same town and heard horror stories from clients about this place. It seems like the overall culture is highly controlling, manipulative, and unethical. I no longer live in the area, so I feel safe enough to share my experience now.

You have to be a " good fit " here according to the intake person on the phone regardless of the state of your mental health or how bad you need help. I was literally told they had openings, but I have to plead my case on the phone to be a " good fit "? Thanks for the help. The next person may not be able to handle hearing that at their lowest point.
