Sometimes, when there is limited (or no) credit information available for an individual, our internal activations department requires store personnel to get additional documentation from a customer to validate their identity. I think it's safe to say that's what happened here. Either way, we're glad to hear you ended up getting the phone you wanted.

image Update: I reached out to the email in the stores response to my post and they never responded and ignored my follow-ups!

Had a really bad experience, worst Ive had with a mobile provider. I went to this store looking for a prepaid SIM card. The sales associate I worked with told me that they didnt offer the prepaid plan I saw online but that she had an even better deal for me; it was the last day of a special plan that would only cost $10/month for unlimited text/talk and 3GB of data. She said it was technically a business plan but could give it to me at her discretion. It was a great deal so I signed up but I ended up paying over $100 a month! They have been charging me $50/month for the base plan and arbitrarily for other things (e.g. $30 activation fee that was never mentioned; $20 for international calls I never made; automatically charging me $20 for 2GB more data when I was told once I used up the 3GB of high-speed data, I would still be able to use unlimited normal-speed data for free). They did mention AT&T might charge me the full $50/month at first and I would be refunded after three billing cycles, but I have used this service for 5 months now and never received any refunds. I called AT&T but they told me they have never heard of this $10/month plan and that I would need to go to the store in-person (but I am now out of the country due to COVID and cant go in person!) Truly a terrible customer experience.

The Store Manager and the District Manager are both interested in working to try to resolve your issue but we need a few more details from you at your convenience. If you would be kind enough to send an email to [email protected] with your contact information and a good time to reach out, that would be wonderful. Additionally, you mentioned that you are out of the country. Not sure when you will be returning or if that even plays into our ability to communicate with you. We understand your frustration and will do our best to correct the situation. The $10/month plan was a real promotion at the time that you activated service (not sure why Customer Care was unable to verify that) and it was in fact a small business plan as you had indicated. I can assure you that the sales rep had no intentions of trying to get you anything less than the greatest value for your money. That obviously failed to pan out BUT we want to make it right and regain your trust. Please send us an email (include your mobile number please so we can look into billing details) to the email address listed above.
