My highest recommendation! Dr. Zhang went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. His assistants are wonderful, always look forward to seeing them. From the moment I walked in office I was at ease, entire staff is outstanding!

Dr Zhang is not a doctor who wants to save your teeth, he wants to sell you an implant. He recommends an implant at a first sight of an issue, beware- his goal is to sell an implant, not preserve your natural tooth.
Dr Zhang removed my tooth that could have been saved with a periodontal treatment without offering any other alternative. I was told that nothing can be done for that tooth. He also wanted to remove another tooth at the same appointment! Which after getting a second opinion- NOT necessary on both teeth. Every person understands and research shows that your natural tooth is always better than an implant if it can be saved. And to put someone through multiple painful procedures and expense unnecessarily is just beyond me. He also downplays risks associated with implants and failure rates. What disregard to a patient from healthcare practitioner.
Reply to comment from Mainland dental: I did not have a confirmed root fracture, VRF is very difficult to identify. And Both horizontal and vertical root fractures are treatable by bonding or removing the part of the tooth that has a crack. But you are right- it is not treatable at YOUR practice. Is it because implant costs more? And, by the way, that is not what I was told by Dr Zhang.
I also found out that the post and core procedure performed by Dr Zhang failed only after a year and a half because it is best performed by an endodontist, not a general dentist, like Dr Zhang. He could have sent me to an actual professional knowingly well enough he is not proficient in this, no wonder this tooth failed and got infected after this work. He had to understand this when he worked on it. Post and core teeth last decades if well done.
I signed the consent form on premises that ALL information provided to me is accurate and complete, and it was not. I was not told that I have other options of treatment. I was not told that with a periodontal treatment I can keep my tooth.
Not surprised that you did not address another tooth he wanted to remove on that appointment.
I removed my previous review because I received a phone call from one of your dental assistants, who called me the day after my review and asked me to delete it, in case you aren't aware. However, I would like to share my experience, maybe it helps someone save their teeth, so here it is.
In your response to my comment you are sharing patients condition, dates, and treatment with the public. Protected health information cannot be shared per HIPAA guidelines. I am not sure why do you feel comfortable to post those details and are accessing patient file for no reason. That is a serious violation. But you also remove viable teeth, so this must not be big a deal for you

I was seen by Dr. Zhang earlier this week and I must say, I am impressed. My veneer came off and I was in a panic as it was my front tooth. Dr. Zhang was kind enough to get me in as a new patient right away. Not only did he take care of me in my time of need but he was extremely nice, patient and thorough. I would also like to add that the office is beautiful and the staff were very kind. I will be back. Thank you so much for a great experience.
