I cant say enough about my experience with working with Debbie Spivack on the re-adoption of my daughter. My re-adoption situation was very timely due to my daughter turning 18 and needing the US re-adoption to take place in a very short time frame. Debbie was incredible and guided me through the whole process with getting all documents needed, working with the courts to secure a court date and bringing the re-adoption all to fruition prior to my daughters birthday. This all could not have happened without Debbies expertise and guidance. I also have to mention Debbies legal assistant Debbie who was also integral in the process. The communication and responsiveness throughout the process was amazing. I always felt informed and supported every step of the way. Ms. Spivack was great throughout our adoption process. We adopted out of state and she came recommended to us. Unbeknownst to us we adopted a special needs child. She guided us through a very challenging journey. She handled all calls, emails, and even court appearcnces in a very timely and professional manner. She is very knowledgable and a go- getter. This is my first online review in my 45+ years. But I feel compelled to do it because Debbie is a great lawyer and she has a good heart. She helped me adopt a relative's child. Our case was quite unique. It involved internaltional adoption of an older child. I had no clue what to do. I did a random google search and found Debbie's information. When I spoke to her for the first time, I did not have any expectation but she immediately identified a legal strategy. Honestly, I did not know if it would work back then (Debbie, please forgive me for doubting you as I had no legal background). I went with it because I did not have any other option. It was a long and complicated process. The pandemic made it more stressful. But Debbie helped us every step along the way. She is professional, knowledgeable, responsive (I asked a lot of dumb questions), and kind and sensitive (I was worried that the legal process would hurt the child emotionally but that did not happen). She has everything I can ask for from an adoption lawyer. I should also mention that she has a great team. Today our case was successfully concluded. My heart is filled with joy. We are forever greatful to Debbie and her team.
