Paterson Building Inspector

You call and no answer. I have been waiting for a permit for about 7 months now and it has been approved for about 7 months now These people just dont want to work.

The Most Corrupted Planning & Zoning & Building Department In The State Of New Jersey. 2 1/2 Month For A Permit Approval. Customer Service Very Poor And Un Professional.

after 4 weeks going back and forward not body knows the entire application with architectural drawing been lost they come to me with really bad attitude saying we don't know

If Newark and Camden had a baby it would of gave birth to this cesspool of a township. I have never encountered a township with such low IQ people i almost smashed my keyboard at the anger i have from the excuses they give not to work. We drove 4 hours round trip to drop off permits but were turned away because they were not in folders for the construction office to hang in there filing cabinets. Do you want me to come price out the permits for you as well. The fact that they can dress them selves in the morning must be a contributing factor for the Einstein award.

Ive scheduled 3 inspections for today (electrical, building and plumbing). They gave me a waiting time 9am-2pm. The building & electrical inspectors showed up around 10:20am and gave me the approval stickers. One of them told me that that was the last inspection but I told him that I was still waiting for the plumbing inspector. Immediately, I called the building department and asked her if the plumbing inspector was coming since I didnt want to wait till 2pm if the inspector wasnt coming. She told me to email them. I sent 3 emails and the inspector didnt show up. I waited till approx 2:10pm. I called to let them know and to speak with the manager when I found out that it was their mistake and they didnt schedule the plumbing appointment. The manager just told me just go back again like nothing happened and she also said it was a human mistake. This is the most irresponsible department Ive have ever deal with.
