Working with Tracy Parsons and her staff was a delight from beginning to end. Living in a 100+ year-old home in Montclair NJ for over 30 years, we have done a fair amount of work on it, and while we are more often than not highly pleased with the results, this is the one excellent review we can provide without any reservations. Due to space limitations, we were unsure if we could have a two-sink vanity that could fit comfortably. Parsons made it happen. Custom means different things and my “custom” kitchen cabinets, for example, were more about sizes and choices of door fronts but this is what I consider true custom. Sitting with Tracy while she sketches things out, asking “Could the legs slant in a bit here?” or “Could the center drawers be set back a bit?” and see it all take shape in front of us, while getting explanations of why X would look better than Y given the parameters of the space, made things exciting. In addition to the vanity, we knew that the few open shelves in a relatively shallow alcove would be replaced with an almost ceiling- to- floor storage cabinet. However, I could not envision how beautiful the cabinetry would be and how it would look as if it had always been there. I created a bit of pause towards the end when I realized that I didn’t want visible outlets in the marble mosaic backsplash, so my already custom vanity was further customized with Kohler inserts with 4 plugs in each cabinet for the clean look desired. Beyond the superb artisanship of the work, Tracy and everyone who works there (with a special thanks to Mark), provide a calming presence, with a warm, no-problem approach to the many questions I asked throughout the process. Twice, when the contractor and the marble fabricator were raising issues, Tracy and/or Mark arrived at my home within an hour to speak with the men and also were highly responsive to phone calls….immediately available for often than not. They were fully committed to us being totally satisfied. Perhaps the best compliment I can give them is that I really missed them when the installation was complete and as I’m now spoiled with this quality of process and finished product, I need to find other projects so I can work with them again!
