        Right knee done 2019. Left knee done 5/3/2023. Right knee was excellent. Left knee day 2 looks great. Excellent surgeon, made trip from Morris County NJ!! Dr Ast is the best. Also, great bedside manners. I recommend him to everyone getting a knee replacement.

        Dr. Michael AST is a wonderful surgeon! He is very kind and gentle and made me feel so comfortable about the surgery on my knee. Its only been 4-1/2 months since I had a total knee replacement and I am doing amazingly well. My scar is almost nonexistent due to the fact that I use the scar cream Dr. AST recommended. Im so happy I chose to use Dr. AST and HSS. I would recommend both to anyone who needs knee replacement surgery.

        Outstanding surgeon! Explained every aspect of my total knee replacement surgery in detail I play competitive tennis, competitive golf, hike on a regular basis without any limitations.. Could not be any more pleased! I highly recommend Dr michael Ast for total joint replacement of the knee .

        Dr. Michael Ast is a ROCK STAR and my husband and I are thrilled with his professionalism, compassion and treatment plan. My husbands hip replacement surgery is scheduled in October 2020. Dr. Ast and his entire Staff, Christopher (PA) and Geraldine have been rock stars, as well. We thank Dr. Cushner of HSS for this referral. Dr Cushner is the Rock Star of knees.

        I went for a second opinion on a knee fail replacement. Doctor Ast was professional and to the point. However, I came away disappointed. I have come to learn through further exploring there are options for my knee issues; knee fail surgery by another doctor. Why Doctor Ast did not share this with me Im not sure.... anyway, I have cancelled my follow up and will not be returning.
