As a customer of nearly 5 years for firewood it pains me to write this, but after two horrible experiences Ive had within the last year I can no longer recommend this company, and I will not be doing anymore business with them at all. This company either has quality control issues (best case) or is simply running a dishonest operation.
The first issue I encountered was last fall I ordered 3 yards of topsoil to topdress my lawn. They came and dumped the top soil in my drive way and left. I had a crew of landscapers spread it out all over my lawn. At first I noticed it was really clumpy but figured it was just moist and wasnt a big deal. The reality hit me later after all three yards were laboriously spread across my lawn that this 'topsoil' was basically construction or landfill dirt absolutely filled with rocks and actual garbage. And I mean an ungodly amount of rocks, large and small. Definitely larger than the 1/2 they claim to screen.
While I will give them the credit that they sent a crew to rake away as much as possible after I complained and sent photos its not nearly enough and even after taking away wheelbarrows full of rocks, there are still rocks everywhere I look. This garbage dirt basically destroyed my lawn and Ill have to completely remove and redo with sod or reseed one of these years. The worst part is Denny tried to gaslight me that this is how all topsoil is as if Im some kind of moron and didnt see the high quality dirt that was previously spread on my lawn when it was first sodded. My town just redid the street and the construction company put better soil on the sidewalk grass strips than this, with not one rock to be seen!
Final nail in the coffin is my most recent order of firewood at 30% sale. I guess that means they give you 30% less wood becuase they crosshatched the logs so about 30% of the half-cord is air. I also had a little bit of wood in the rack to begin with and they just filled it up to what you'd expect the half cord to be. Really dishonest, and scammy. After reading the other bad reviews, they are 100% correct. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company, buy at your own risk.
