Green Owl Group was great. We had a small bathroom that we wanted to expand into a full bath and closet, and they did an amazing job. The design was exactly what I wanted and the workmanship was top-notch.

Edit to address contractors response: The contractors response does not address the fact that he agreed, in writing, to give us a refund if he couldn't get to the budgeted amount with an agreeable scope of work which is the only thing we are asking for. Instead, he responds with baseless personal attacks which speak volumes to his professionalism. We wish he would thoroughly respond to our correspondence in the same manner he responded to our review. Original review: We were speaking with Lawrence in preparation for a large home renovation and home addition. After an extensive bidding process, when we were finally ready to select a contractor, we decided to go with Lawrence. After reviewing our plans, he provided a high level estimate of the job. In order to get our project within budget, we discussed with Lawrence which items we could take out of scope to get us into budget--ultimately removing quite a bit to get us to a realistic scope for our budget. Despite the estimate, he had us enter into a design agreement to get a more accurate cost of the project, provide design advice, and determine if we could get the project within our budget. Lawrence agreed, in writing, to give us a refund if he couldn't get to the budgeted amount with an agreeable scope of work. After waiting weeks for the actual numbers, the quote came back 50k higher than his previous estimate, far exceeding our budget and any estimates given to us before. We were crushed since we had made major changes to our scope and had been led to believe that we just had to make small adjustments to get to our target. Based on our agreement, we requested a refund but we have been unsuccessful. He has simply refused to provide a refund, has not provided the design packet/information we paid for (packet containing specific costs of each part of the project), and he has now ceased all communication with us. In our opinion, it seems as though Lawrence wasn't prepared or experienced enough to take on a project of this size. If you have a large project, we would recommend that you find a contractor that has the knowledge and experience working on large projects of that size.
