This use to be a hot pot restaurant turned food-court style gukbap (soup and rice) restaurant. Everything is self-service so there is no need to tip. Theres a station for kimchi, which there is pretty good, and one for ssam (lettuce wrap). They have two stand out dishes that most come here for, the beef and blood sausage soup, both are only $10 when dining in ($2 extra for take out). They are not the best Ive had but is a really good for $10. Portions are decent and they dont overly seasoned with salt. Its on the blander side but its still pretty acceptable for me. Parking is limited in the area.

Instead of no tip...if you look closely, there is an unknown fee on the receipt...did I misunderstand..??

I have been to this place a couple times with coworkers and friends, the service is great, the lady at the front taking the orders is very kind and the gentleman who I think is one of the owners is kind and sometimes helps clean the tray area when it is filled. The food is good for the price, because it is self service there is no tip which reduces the overall cost of the bill but otherwise the price of the items is slightly cheaper than most places. The only reason I give it 4 stars (3.5 would be more accurate if half stars were allowed) is because they recently changed their special deal which used to include soondae guk and chadol sullungtang for $10 + tax which was amazing to two different items which are soondubu and seonji hwaejjang guk (hangover soup with blood, but you can get it without the blood) I and most people I know were very upset that the deal had changed, the items are still on the menu but for $4 more than before. Also their buckwheat jeon is very good

Clean & no tip is good. Food is generally good, except when you go a bit late. The sausage comes out bloated & blown. I wish they would just give it as separate item like before. All you can eat kimchi means I can dial down on salt & fill myself with kimchi. I go there may be every other week. A trend of self service appears to be taking shape. A god (blasphemy if in cap) of Jjambbong or just opened up with same concept. No tip & taxes.

Instead of no tip...if you look closely, there is an unknown fee on the receipt...did I misunderstand..??
This fee is a 3.5% customer fee that occurs when using the card. This is a system introduced to ease the burden on small business owners, and in most cases, customers are informed in advance before paying. However, we sincerely apologize for not being able to provide proper guidance due to busy circumstances. Also, even though we have attached a sticker informing you of this fee in front of the card machine, if you are not fully aware of it, I think this is also our shortcoming.
We have a no-tipping policy, with the intention of providing more transparent and reasonable prices to our customers. We will strive to provide clearer guidance and improve services in the future.
We will listen to your valuable feedback and continue to do our best to satisfy you with delicious Korean food and friendly service. Thank you once again for using our Gukbap Ssambap, and we hope to provide you with an even more satisfying experience on your next visit.
