    Had a broken hose I had for 1 year that I got there, they only had the same hoses that already broke before so when I told the manager she told me about the 15day return policy and stated that I probably didn't take care of it well enough. I explained that all the cheap hoses I bought from Amazon were working fine and only theirs broke so I can't get the same hose from them to break again. I asked for the manager, which she said she was. I then asked for upper management so I could leave them feedback and they never responded. Talked to them through Google chat and they didn't seem to care and only made excuses, blaming the hose manufacturer and not taking any responsibility for what they sell. I asked about my callback and I didn't receive another response from them.

    To tell a disabled veteran hell no you cant get a discount & tell all vets to go elsewhere is TRULY DISGUSTING! Pay attention to who you hire because you definitely lost my service and a lot of other people! DO BETTER!!!

Sir - your visit to our store was well remembered as you were, kindly, less than polite. We carry the best hoses available in the market at different price points. We do not manufacture them ourselves, and have no control over the manufacturing process. Even within the distribution chain, the distributors do not warranty them. Your warranty is essentially with the manufacturer, and you have the right to attempt to contact them directly, though that is usually impossible, even for us. Hence, we have a very limited window for returns, particularly given the seasonality of our products and the storage of plastic through the winter, often outdoors. I am very sorry you had this experience with one of our hoses. We are just not able to accept returns after 15 days. It becomes less and less likely that it was actually a defect in the materials or manufacturing process that caused a break after 15 days. We are not suggesting you did anything wrong using the hose, it is simply the nature of the material.Sometimes it lasts longer than others. We wish you a safe and happy swimming season.

We are disappointed that this message is being circulated. Hometown Pools has been supportive of Veterans causes for many years, including the annual Foster 100 for Veterans. We have hired veterans, and we have family that spent 22 years in the Air Force through eight conflicts. On the day this message was circulated, our staff in the store has no knowledge of anyone coming into the store, requesting a discount, or making a fuss for not getting a discount. No disabled veteran has contacted us directly to suggest this was an issue, nor were we allowed to remedy it. We are supportive of the United States and all veterans who have sacrificed on behalf of their country, and to suggest otherwise is sheer nonsense. We do hope we continue to offer good service and continue to interact with the community we serve, including not just Veterans’ causes, but local sports teams and other charities. We hope you have a safe and fun swimming season, and hope you are able to see past a one-sided story that has nothing to do with our admiration for our Veterans.
