House By the Sea

This place is the best. A throw back to a better, simpler time. There are so many nice things about it, starting with the 3 gorgeous large porches with the best view of the ocean on the whole Jersey shore! And so much more!!

I called here for a last minute booking fully expecting to hear they had no availability. The woman on the phone got short with me and said not for one night I dont. As someone who manages an Airbnb, I understand that a single night stay at a place like this is not always worth the hassle, but o figured for a place with multiple rooms where housekeeping would come anyway, it might be worth it to fill a room with last minute notice. Glad we didnt stay here. Hopefully theyre nicer to their guests.

We have stayed here 5 times since the 70s. It is still charming, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is superb. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view from 3 different porches and from various rooms; make sure you wake up to see the sunrise over the ocean from the porch or even your room; comfortable, clean, cozy; wonderful owner & management; water, soda, ice tea, available for just $1 throughout your stay; great for solo travelers and couples; quiet enough for children and everyone to get a good night sleep

This place is absolutely a gem! Incredibly sweet staff cozy rooms and the location is absolutely amazing walk out the door and there's the beach. There's a playground less than a 3-minute walk. Everything is accessible by walking from this location. You won't regret it. I even forgot my sandals and the staff supplied me with some to borrow how sweet of them. Ty so very much David T
