Pedal Sports

I hate to rain on the parade, but of the three random bicycle shops I stopped in this summer, Pedal Sports definitely ranks third.I swung by a bit after 6 on a Monday night; Pedal Sports does get points for being one of the few places in the area that's open after 5 or 6 on Mondays.  I had a flat for the second day in a row, so I wanted to have someone more experienced look at it.  The guy at the counter did.  He wasn't super friendly, but that alone wasn't a dealbreaker.  He figured out where the flat was, replaced the tube, and said I should be good to go.  I thought I was back in business for my bicycling vacation.The next day, I drove to Washington Heights and rode around Manhattan and into Brooklyn.  I stopped in Brooklyn for some refreshment, with 25 miles on the new tube, and when I came out I had another flat, same tire.  I looked up nearby bike shops, and took it to the Cobble Hill Trek Store, an easy walk.  I told them that I'd now had a flat three days in a row, so they went into investigator mode.  They determined that the flat was on the inside of the tube, and there was a rough patch in the tape on the inside of the wheel.  They replaced the tape and the tube.  For the rest of the vacation, I had no issues with flats.I appreciate the longer hours, but I would have been better off stopping at a shop in the Bronx on the way into Manhattan the next morning.  I could see them missing the tape problem if I just said I had a random flat, but having mentioned it was the second day in a row, I expected them to do a thorough job, as the Cobble Hill Trek store did.

Picked up a new FUJI 29' MTB from Pedal Sports, staff is very friendly, very fair prices. Overall a great shop as its the only place i take to get my bike tuned.

Great shop. Fair prices, excellent service. Fixed a bike for me on very short notice while I waited. Well worth patronizing.

Needed a new bike.  By going into Pedal Sports and dealing with Rob the owner I found out that the bike i purchased a few years back  was the wrong size for me.  Rob gave me a bike to go outside in the parking lot to test.... I could not believe the difference in a proper sized bike would make.... I working with me for a month  to find the correct bike both size and budget I purchased a Specialized Carbon bike  now it is like I want to ride all the time  went back a few times for minor adjustments   the staff could not be more helpful and taking care of those adjustments right away....    I have been riding for many years have not found the service and the great personality of all the staff    GREAT SHOP

I just bought a new bike at Pedal Sports and So far I'm very happy I did. The price was good and includes a year of service on the bike. After the first ride I noticed something a little off and they fixed it right away. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, and I didn't feel any pressure throughout the process. Definitely plan on going back.
