I cannot say enough kind words about this practice. To have a doctor finally listen to you and your health care needs is amazing. I have had years of chiropractic care from other providers and NO ONE even comes close in comparison to the care I have received here. In fact, I now take my 7 year old son who was on the verge of having a tonsillectomy after years of issues. Dr Shaw was able to work his magic on him and I was able to cancel his surgery after a few visits. A true healer! Thank you Dr Shaw!

Ive been a patient of Dr. Shaws for a little over a year now and I have absolutely nothing but kind words and sincere recommendations. He is a thorough examiner, an easy and efficient adjustment, and explains things in a manner that doesnt leave you with questions or confusion. As a former chiropractic assistant, it is nice to see that Dr. Shaw takes time and consideration with each patient and is not rushing them in or out.

Dr. Shaw has completely changed our lives. My son had struggled with high fevers his entire life and was diagnosed with PFAPA. We tried steroids, colchicine, and even a T&A without relief. My son then went into an intense episode and had a fever for 3 months straight. He was completely falling apart. We went to infectious disease, rheumatologist, ENT, and an immunologist with no answers. We did vials and vials of blood work, x-rays, ultrasounds, and a failed MRI that lead to my son's extreme anxiety. And yet no answers. We walked into Dr. Shaws office and within an hour of leaving his office, my son was fever free. 2 months of his care and it's like a whole different kid emerged. He's full of energy and just enjoying life. His grades have gone up and he's flying through his work. He's able to focus better and have better clarity of thought. My son won't let any other doctor touch him now. We've gone to chiropractic before but there's something different about Dr. Shaw. He is more specific and tuned in with his care. He finds minor spots you didn't know we're sore and is able to adjust them. He works with the muscles and incorporates different types of therapies. He is kind and caring and truly listens. My whole family goes there now and we've all seen improvements. We are truly grateful we found Dr. Shaw and his wife who have been so kind to our entire family.

For quite a while Id been having trouble with tightness in my glute and thigh muscles. Every day I woke up so tight making it hard to even reach for the toothpaste on my countertop without pain. I was stretching each day, and having therapeutic massages, but it wasnt helping. One day, reaching from a standing position, I picked the remote control up off the coffee table, heard a terrible crack/tearing sound coming from my lower spine, and experienced excruciating pain. I could not move at all. Severe pain and numbness was in my back, spreading down my legs, that stopped me from walking at all. Falling was a real issue. This was the start of my journey to better health. For several weeks I saw my PCP, went to the Hospital ER, Orthopedist, and Spine Physiatrist. I was told by the orthopedist, after reviewing my x-rays, that I should see a spine specialist as I would most likely need surgery. He prescribed Prednisone for the inflammation, and Tramadol for the pain (which I didn't realize is an opioid). I took the prednisone for 12 days with no improvement, and as I was crawling around the house in agony, I called back to request an MRI. The MRI revealed an issue with a herniated disc at L4, L5, spinal stenosis, and a pinched and irritated nerve. I was told by the orthopedist that my back was a TRAIN WRECK. I informed him I was not going to take the opioid, to which he responded, If you dont take it, youre not going to get better. I decided to get a second opinion and met with a Spine Physiatrist. After examining me and reading the MRI, he too thought I would most likely need surgery, but suggested physical therapy first. Finally, I met with Dr. Shaw at Newton Health and Wellness. We reviewed the MRI together and he explained what was happening in my body. The disc at L4, L5 was pushing on my spinal cord and affecting the nerve and blood flow to my glutes, thigh musclesall the way down my legs. After examining me, he found that one hip was an inch and a half higher than the other, causing imbalance in my spine. After just 2 adjustment appointments, there was noticeable improvement. I put my faith and my health in Dr. Shaws hands and together, we set up a plan for adjustments, laser therapy, and IDD Therapy. For the first few weeks I needed the assistance of a walker in order to function without falling. I graduated to a cane within 3 weeks, then in three more weeks, I started walking on my own with no pain. I am so pleased with my improvement and overall health. All of the things I could not do for two months (walking, showering, sleeping, making dinner, driving, working, etc.) are an everyday pleasure! I have come so far in such a short period of time without the need for surgery. My journey continues with Newton Health and Wellness as I move forward with my overall health and well-being. I am entirely grateful to Dr. Shaw and Ati for their expertise, health care, and kindness in my journey to strength, health, and wellness.
