This building is a death trap. If you value your health and life, DO NOT even think about moving in this place. It is horribly maintained, management does not care about fixing any damages, no response to complaints even to those brought to the city's attention. So my advice to anyone who works hard for their money.... DO NOT waste it on these careless, greedy individuals.

Save your money here because there are roaches and mice, barely any hot water, water gets shut up, management ignores complaints, and there is no elevator. I am only posting this to help people not make the mistakes I did.

The brokers agent, Tay, is so unprofessional its almost laughable if it didnt deal with financial and legal matters. Not only was she late to every showing my BF had, the day he moved in she had a family emergency and pushed back the lease signing multiple hours. As a brokers agent she has taken to harassing my BF and unlawfully threatening eviction as she allowed him to move in without having a signed guarantors agreement OR proof of renters insurance. The lease also has several illegal clauses which Ive found is quite standard practice in the industry. All in all the apartment is not worth it. It was very dirty upon move in and has severe water damage issues. There are several cracks in the bedroom ceiling and bubbled paint all over the walls. All the doors are hard to open since they were painted shut, and the kitchen door doesnt close. There are several leaks in the apartment as well and several neighbors have mice and cockroach infestations due to a lack of apartment inspections. There are holes in almost every window screen and a constant beeping from the fire alarm system in the hallway (meaning something is wrong with it). The kitchen only has one drawer because the other one broke and instead of fixing it they just screwed it shut. This building (425 Mt Prospect Ave Newark) needs a major renovation to be charging the rents they are. Save yourself a headache and move somewhere nicer and cleaner. The only pro is the neighborhood the apartment is in, which isnt even really a pro since my BF (black) has noticed the large hispanic community in the area will not talk to him.

I had a mice in my house and I called them that they should send an exterminator but they didn't send after waiting OVER A WEEK that they should send me an exterminator I called by my self an exterminator and I paid him from my pocket but the landlord don't want to pay me back for it even though I tried to reach him and his so called "Royal" Management so many times before I called by my self the exterminator they are 100% opposite from Royal! I wouldn't recommend anyone to use them!
