Recycling Center is open Monday closed Tuesday and Wednesday; reopens on Thursday thru Sunday. We take metal, clean plastic bags, electronic equipment, cans n bottles, paper and paper products, cardboard, styrofoam w/restrictions: No egg cartons, No colors, No thin paper type foam, No clear foam. We do not take household waste! We take tires and tires with rims at a fee. We only take rechargeable large batteries and vehicle batteries; pressurized tanks, heavy plastics, things with refrigerant but with a fee. We supply mulch for free but, you have to load yourself. We also deliver mulch and pickup recyclables for a small fee as well.

The public works dept needs to rethink their plowing process while I guess we are lucky they plow A LOT but the plow the center of the street and plow in your car so if you are elderly or handicapped you are stuck until the snow melts. The last storm it froze and I almost ruined the bottom of my car to go to work. They ask for cars to be off the street WHY? I thought the point was to get to the curb ! If there are no cars they should clear the driveway and leave the snow in between the houses. Ive been putting up with this for years but now Im the one getting too old. I called to complain and at 9PM they came back and put it all back in the front of my driveway. Are you kidding me! I would prefer less plowing if they can do the job right. Its clear public works is the problem as all the trucks do exactly the same thing. Some day a tragedy will occur if it has not already. Lets get a town meeting for ourselves and all those who have no one to shovel them out 5 times per storm, and those who cant afford to pay someone to keep digging them out. They also cover the hydrants another problem.
