        Hired Mr. Sica 07/20. He assured me he could help me as I explained my situation with my ex wife. Divorce finalized 12/2022. I would not recommend his services, between that time, I called Sica for legal advice and status regarding the case, none of my emails were returned. Phone calls were never returned, with a new secretary or call service instructing me to leave message after message. It would be months before I heard from him again. Just all and all horrible service. Was never a respected client.

        Handled a part of my case just fine. He lobbied me and the judge for the opportunity to complete the collection portion (court transcripts) of my case and then ghosted me. I left messages at his office with no return call, sent emails and no reply. I only heard from him when I informed his staff I was lodging a formal complaint with the NJ Bar Association (was waiting on transcripts) to prove he said he would continue to handle my case, an agreement before the Judge.

        Ive been trying to get in touch with them for a month and when I have less than a week to go to court they finally tell me they cant help me. I had to chase them down every time and they were very unprofessional.

      Justin: Let's be honest. Your matter started three months into Covid, at the height of the pandemic. At the start, you are in California and your wife was in NJ. There were no assets and only the proper amount of support. This was immediately accomplished. You permitted your wife to relocate to South Carolina which deprived NJ of jurisdiction over parenting time issues. Your despite with your wife on this issued caused the delay. My advice on these issues was to seek counsel in your state or hers. You paid for a divorce and got it. Your Retainer Agreement covered a Non-Contested Divorce. Specifically, contested issues were excluded. When your wife left NJ, jurisdiction changed. We discussed this. After 40 years, I have yet to see a Retainer Agreement include services for life or in any future jurisdiction.

      Rob: I successfully represented you achieving every objective requested. When you were awarded a judgment in your favor, you were given the option to permit voluntarily payment. We discussed it, the decision was yours. The Judge gave you the option to request garnishment. These additional services involve further document preparation and time. The scope of my services is defined in retainer agreement we both signed. I was retained to terminate support. Achieved! In writing, our agreement specifically states. “ Services beyond this Motion shall be by separate agreement.” My services were endless is not. No one was ghosted.

      Mark: You contacted my office of June 21, 2021. I took the time to review with you the circumstances of your case and gave you an overview of the law that applies to you. That was part of my free 15-minute consultation policy. You had the option to retain the firm or proceed on your own. I directed you to link on the website for the New Jersey Courts (www.NJcourts,gov) for the instructions and forms necessary for your self-representation. Thereafter, I did not hear from you again until July 8, 2021. You asked for more free guidance, but I was in the middle of preparing another case. I indicated that my paralegal was out with a sick baby I was too busy to talk. You again call on July 9, 2021 and had my secretary upset by the nasty manner in which you treated her. In light of that, I took your call and asked you to seek help elsewhere. You had signed no retainer agreement and you had not engaged my services. Let us keep it real. My best to you.
