Family promise does not help at all. All non profit organizations just want you to do things yourself and find your own resources. I tried to call many times. And yes I was able to speak to someone but all I got was to call 211 or they tell me to call someone else in their department and if I would call again for assistance if I am having issues with 211 or have questions no one picks up the phone. So if you want help the best thing to do is get a job and help yourself . organizations give you shelter but after that you are on your own.
