No wonder Dr. Berger always has availability, I have gone to him twice and both times his care his been an unprofessional let-down. The first instance I went to Dr. Berger, I was home from college and needed a refill on one of my prescriptions. I told Dr. Berger about how I could not do the extended release version of the drug because it causes me extreme anxiety, and asked him to prescribe me the regular version of the drug that my out-of-state psychiatrist had been prescribing me. Dr. Berger must not have been paying attention to something as critical as my medication because he prescribed me the extended release version of the drug that I specifically told him causes adverse effects for me. The second time I saw Dr. Berger was a tele-medicine appointment to get an antidepressant prescription I was about to run out of. The appointment was scheduled for 12:45pm-1:00pm. Dr. Berger did not join the zoom until 1:00pm. The call lasted 2 minutes as I expressed that I had an appointment with my psychologist at 1:00pm and I was not expecting him to be 15 minutes late to a 15 minute appointment. During the appointment he confirmed that he would prescribe my antidepressants and send them to the pharmacy I have listed on my profile. When I went to the pharmacy to get the prescription, the pharmacy had not received anything from him. I called the office, was on hold for 15 minutes, explained the situation, and after putting me on hold again claimed that a technical error was the reason the prescription didnt go through. Then, I was told that Dr. Berger isnt in the office, so he cannot prescribe the prescription that was the reason for our visit. This is extremely unprofessional behavior, and when I expressed my frustration to the office staff they got cold with me as if my doctor furthering my antidepressant withdrawals is not a valid reason to be upset. Thankfully, another doctor working today will be able to write the prescription for me. I strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to NOT see Dr. Berger as his in-attention to his patients causes unnecessary stress. Instead, I recommend seeing Angela Chung as she is an amazing highly attentive Doctor at the same practice.

Hes nice but that wife of his is a nightmare! I'm not sure if she is still there at the office. But Dr Lazarus was my Dr. Until I got a letter in the mail saying they were terminating our buisness together. All because I wouldnt let his wife or the other receptionist speak to me anyway she wanted to. I'm glad cause I have a fantastic Dr now. This was years ago when they were in chatham. I never forgot how rude and nasty she is.
