Brick & Dough

Jersey has a lot of good pizza places. Only the great ones will get a 5-star review from me. Brick and Dough is one of the great ones. Started off our meal with an amazing Caesar salad. The lettuce was shredded for easy consumption and the dressing was absolutely perfect. Not acidic at all. Great taste and a wonderful start to the meal. Was also happy to see that they serve Mexican Coke, which is made with cane sugar and tastes much better than regular Coke. I had the Margherita pizza which reminded of the pizza in Italy. Cooked well, but not crispy. More of a doughy crust and that was the star of the show. Awesome flavor and cooked perfectly. Also tried the gluten-free pizza which was surprisingly good. Never had gluten-free pizza before. It was served Detroit-style and it was so light and fluffy. Reminded me more of an angel food cake. For dessert, I had the banana pudding. Excellent end to the meal. The only thing that wouldve been better if we had a bigger table. We dined early and the place was empty, so it would have been nice to have a table for four instead of a tiny table for two. Brick and Dough is going to be my new go-to pizza place and I cant wait to try the rest of the menu.

Pizza tasted hot and flavorful. My only gripe was that the crust was very chewy, Not my favorite consistency. Ive had better pizza in Jersey.
